Shatavari is quite a revered herb in Ayurveda, especially for women's health and reproductive wellness. Given your situation with low AMH levels and issues with egg maturity, shatavari could offer some support. It's traditionally known to nourish and strengthen the reproductive system. For your specific queries— Typically, shatavari powder can be taken twice a day, approximately 1/2 to 1 teaspoon, although starting on the lower end helps your body adjust. Taking it with warm milk enhances its benefits, nourishing both body and mind and aiding in better absorption of nutrients. Evening or just before bedtime is often recommended, as it also promotes relaxation and restorative sleep, which could help overall fertility health. Combining shatavari with ashwagandha is generally considered safe, as both work synergistically to support hormonal balance and reduce stress. Same quantity, about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ashwagandha taken in warm milk or water is usually recommended if you're using it alongside shatavari. Curd isn’t ideal for mixing with herb powders typically because of its cooling nature. However, if it's difficult for you to digest milk, consider almond or oat milk, which can be warming alternatives. Always ensure the powders are pure high quality from reliable sources. Since you’ve experienced a miscarriage, and given your current medical situation, it’s important to keep your healthcare provider in the loop about using herbal supplements. They can monitor the integration of Ayurvedic methods with your current treatments to ensure health and safety. Listening closely to how your body responds to these supplements will guide any necessary adjustments. If stress is particularly high, delve into calming techniques like meditation or gentle yoga, which supports reproductive function holistically too.
