NAMSTE ! as per condition i am advising you following - Steam Inhalation (3-4 times a week) Use warm water with turmeric or tulsi leaves for gentle steam inhalation (not too hot). 4️⃣ Warm Water Gargles With rock salt and turmeric to prevent throat infections. Oil Massage (Abhyanga) Warm sesame oil massage once a week for immunity Dietary Recommendations ✅ Foods to Include: Warm, easily digestible foods – moong dal khichdi, vegetable soups, and rice-based meals. Anti-inflammatory spices – turmeric, black pepper, and cinnamon in food or milk. Seasonal fruits – apples, pears, pomegranates, and papaya (avoid very cold fruits). Dry fruits in moderation – soaked almonds and walnuts (improve immunity). Cow’s ghee – lubricates nasal passages and helps in tissue healing. 🚫 Foods to Avoid: Cold and refrigerated foods (ice cream, cold drinks, chocolates). Excess dairy (milk, cheese, and yogurt can increase mucus). Fried, processed, and junk foods. Excess sugar and refined flour (weakens immunity). Since your daughter had surgery a month ago, allow proper healing before introducing herbal treatments. Gradually implement dietary changes, lifestyle practices, and mild herbal support to ensure long-term relief. Would you like a customized regimen for her post-surgical care? Let me know her current symptoms!

After sinus surgery, ensuring that your daughter doesn't face recurring issues with sinusitis and adenoids is indeed crucial. In Ayurveda, maintaining a balance of the doshas and strengthening the body's natural defenses is key. Here's a comprehensive approach: First and foremost, you must pay attention to her diet, as it directly affects her overall health and immunity. Focus on a sattvic diet comprising warm, easily digestible meals. Sveer ghee can be included as it is nourishing. Offer fresh fruits (like papaya and pomegranate) and vegetables, particularly those high in vitamin C, to bolster her immunity. Avoid cold, stale, or fried foods that can disturb her kapha dosha. Items like ice-creams or carbonated drinks should be minimized, as they can aggravate sinus issues. Ensure she drinks warm water throughout the day to help cleanse toxins and support digestion. Incorporating certain herbs and spices like turmeric (haldi) can be very beneficial due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Adding a pinch of turmeric to her milk or meals could be a simple way to support healing. For her digestion, a bit of ginger in food or as a tea can also help keep her digestive fire, or agni, strong. Routine is important; ensure she gets sufficient sleep. Encourage a regular sleep schedule, as rest is vital for recovery and maintaining health. Avoid exposure to dust or allergens by keeping her living spaces clean and well-ventilated, but not dry. A steam inhalation with a few drops of eucalyptus oil occasionally may keep her sinuses clear. Consider nasya therapy (nasal oil application) after consulting an Ayurvedic physician, as it can protect her nasal passages and fortify her respiratory system. Lastly, physical activity is important, so gentle exercises or yoga, tailored for kids, can help keep her fit and improve her lung capacity. However, make sure she doesn’t overexert herself. While ayurvedic recommendations are quite effective, maintaining regular check-ups with a pediatrician is also essential after surgery. This integrated approach between Ayurveda and modern medicine will offer her the best chances of staying healthy and free from reccurences.
