I truly understand how physically and emotionally challenging PMS symptoms can be, especially when they begin as early as two weeks before your menstrual cycle, feeling dizziness and a lack of appetite before periods or sign that your body is reaching to internal imbalance is- mainly related to hormonal fluctuations, metabolic irregularities, and nutritional deficiencies
The good news is that Ayurveda being a holistic and individualised system of medicine as a very effective and natural approach in treating PMS by identifying and correcting the root cause rather than just managing symptoms
According to Ayurveda PMS is often caused by an imbalance of all 3DOSHAS that is VATA, PITTA and KAPHA , the symptoms like dizziness, lack of appetite, irritability, fatigue and mood, swings, or indicative of VATA IMBALANCE
WHILE SYMPTOMS LIKE BREAST, TENDERNESS, ANGER, FOOD, CRAVINGS, AND HEADACHE MAY INCLUDE PITTA IMBALANCE
hormonal imbalance has understood in modern science is interrupted in Ayurveda as in imbalance in RASA DHATU and shukra dhatu with weekend, Agni poor Ojas
When Agni is disturbed, digestion becomes weak , toxins or ama begin to accumulate, and this disturbs the functioning of endocrine system and metabolism. Further more stress, sedentary habit, improper diet, lack of sleep and emotional strain all version this imbalance and trigger PMS symptoms earlier And with more intensity.
Moringa is a wonderful herb, and you have noticed a reduction in symptoms while taking it regularly. This is not a coincidence. Maringa is a highly Satwik and nourishing herb rich, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, like iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium it naturally corrects, many of the nutritional deficiencies that contribute to hormonal disturbances. It also support liver function, improves digestion and answers immunity and reduces inflammation, all of which are essential in managing and preventing PMS. While moringa is beneficial, it is not a complete alone drug to Cure.
To achieve full and lasting recovery from PMS symptoms, we must go deeper and correct the route through a complete Ayurvedic approach
Your first line of treatment involves correcting your digestive fire and removing ama
Triphala churna-1 teaspoon with lukewarm water at bedtime
Alovera juice- 10 ml diluted with water once daily at morning, can be taken on empty stomach
Include light, warm, freshly prepared meals with plenty of digestive spices, like cumin, fennel, coriander, ajwain, and turmeric
Avoid cold, processed, oily and stale foods at the aggravate VATA and slow metabolism
Strirasyana vati -one tablet twice daily after food with warm water
Shatavari churna- 1/2 tsp with warm milk at night
Evecare syrup-10 ML twice daily after food
Moringa powder - continue using this one spoon after dinner with warm water
Two weeks before year period, follow a PMS prevention regiment to avoid the early onset of symptoms. I suggest preparing a special herbal decoction made with
Hing jeera rocksalt khas khas tulsi pudina boiling, 2 cup of glasses and traduce up to one glass and drink this twice daily. It reduces bloating, fatty dizziness and promotes hormonal imbalance.
Avoid curd, fermented items, fried or spicy food, processed sugar,Maida based snacks, and Late night eating
Sleep before 10 PM wake before 6 AM
Avoid sleeping during the day
Regular walking
Do Pranayam yoga or meditation regularly
PMS is not a disease. It is the body’s way of showing that internal harmony has been disturbed. While taking Morga is a good start. We must not build a consistent, holistic and natural lifestyle that strengthens your body mind and hormonal rhythm, unlike temporary hormonal pill, Ayurveda gently, but deeply. With the proper combination of diet, harps routine and inner balance, you can absolutely come out of this cycle of PMS permanently.

Dizziness and changes in appetite that you're experiencing as part of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) are common, and its good you’ve noticed some relief with moringa. In Ayurveda, PMS symptoms often relate to an imbalance in various doshas, particularly Vata and sometimes Kapha. Dizziness might indicate a Vata imbalance, while appetite changes can be connected to both Vata and Kapha disturbances. Here’s a practical Ayurvedic approach to addressing these symptoms.
First, continue with moringa if it's helping; it's known for balancing and nourishing properties. You can supplement it with other strategies for more comprehensive relief. For dizziness, grounding Vata is essential. You may consume warm, nourishing foods. Think about adding a little more ghee in your meals, with spices like ginger or cinnamon that lively your digestive fire (agni) and help stabilize Vata dosha. Avoid cold foods and drinks, raw vegetables, and dry or crunchy foods that can further aggravate Vata.
For the appetite, it's important to maintain a regular eating schedule, even if you’re not hungry. Focus on easy-to-digest meals that suit your constitution. Kitchari, a traditional Ayurvedic concoction made of rice and mung beans, is excellent. Consume ginger tea early in the morning. You can grate fresh ginger and boil it with water for a few minutes, sipping on it can stimulate appetite and support digestion.
Adopt a routine that incorporates gentle yoga or meditation which can also help balance doshas. Specifically, yoga poses like the cat-cow stretch and forward folds may calm the nervous system and support digestion.
Herbs like Ashwagandha or Shatavari can also be beneficial. They're known to stabilize mood and support hormonal balance, often available in powder or tablet form. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting these.
Lastly, ensure you're keeping hydrated and sleeping well. Regular sleep habits, ideally sleeping and waking at the same time, can significantly improve PMS symptoms.
These natural steps, combined with any medical advice you are following, should offer a holistic improvement. Make changes gradually and pay attention to what specifically works for your unique body.
