It sounds like you're experiencing fatigue and some anxiety-related symptoms alongside your duodenal ulcer recovery. In Ayurveda, we often see this as a result of an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, aggravated by factors like stress, diet, and overall lifestyle. Weakness and tiredness can also be linked to the body's recovery process and ongoing healing of the ulcer. Here’s what you might consider doing: Diet is crucial while dealing with ulcers. You should eat light, easily digestible meals; stick with soft, cooling foods like cooked vegetables, rice, and oats, and avoid spicy, overly-sour, or fried foods that aggravate Pitta. Milk, if digestible for you, can be a soothing option — take it warm with a pinch of cardamom for added benefits. Include bananas and boiled apples to help heal the stomach lining. For your fatigue and shortness of breath, ensure that your meals include well-cooked moong dal and ghee, which can strengthen digestion without over-burdening it. Drinking warm water with a few pieces of ginger might stimulate proper digestion, but be cautious if it increases stomach discomfort. Neutralizing anxiety is also significant. Overthinking often strains both body and mind. Practicing prayanama, specificially Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), can be highly beneficial to calm the mind. Dedicating 10-15 minutes daily to meditation or guided relaxation adds mental peace and resilience. It's important to ensure your body is receiving enough rest. Try to go to bed and wake up at consistent times, keeping your sleep environment comfortable, quiet, and dark. Lastly, have you consulted with your healthcare provider to rule out anemia or vitamin deficiencies that may accompany chronic intestinal issues? If symptoms persist or escalate, it’s wise to reach out for further medical evaluation to ensure there isn’t a deeper condition needing attention. Remember, Ayurvedic approaches can complement modern treatments, but they don't replace urgent medical care when it’s needed!
