Doctors' responses

When dealing with right-sided ear blockage and a sensation of heaviness on the right side of your face, it could be linked to issues in the sinus region. This kind of blockage may indicate an imbalance in the Kapha dosha, especially concentrated on one side. To help alleviate this, you could try a simple steam inhalation. Boil water and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil, then cover your head with a towel while breathing in the steam for a few minutes. This can help clear the nasal passages and reduce the feeling of congestion.

For the sensation of weight on the right side, consider Nasya, a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that involves administering herbal oils into the nostrils. Anu Taila is a commonly recommended oil for conditions involving facial heaviness and sinus issues. Warm a few drops into the oil and apply it to each nostril while lying down with your head tilted backward. This encourages the clearing of blockages and supports balancing Kapha.

Regarding excess body heat, which may be due to a Pitta imbalance, focus on cooling and soothing practices. Incorporate cooling foods into your diet like cucumber, aloe vera juice, watermelon, and ripe sweet fruits. Coconut water and coriander water can also help cool the system. Avoid spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeinated drinks as they may increase internal heat.

Pranayama practices such as Sheetali and Sheetkari can help cool the body. These are breathing exercises that specifically target the reduction of body heat. Practicing these techniques for about 10 minutes each day, preferably in the morning, can keep the body cool and aligned.

These methods aim at natural balance according to Ayurvedic principles but if symptoms persist, reach out to a healthcare provider for accuracy diagnosis and tailored solutions.
