Akal daant nikalne ke baad jab muh khulna mushkil ho jaye, to ye samasya kabhi-kabhi hoti hai svastha hone ki prakriya ke dauran. Ayurveda mein kuch prakritik upaaye hain jo ise dheere-dheere behatar banane mein madadgar ho sakte hain. Shuru karne ke liye, Sheetali Pranayama jaise saans lene ki vidhi apnaye. Isme aap andar saans lete hue jeebh ko tube ke roop mein gol karte hain aur phir dheere-dheere saans chodte hain.

Is paste ko grated ginger (adrak) aur cumin (jeera) se banayein aur choppar pe lipstik glaze ke sath halakisi quantity lagayein. Iske alawa, Gomukhasana jaise yogic mudra se face muscles ke around blood flow ko trakhtir karta hai, jis se dheere-dheere mouth opening better hota hai.

After dental work, particularly procedures like an akal daant (wisdom tooth) removal, it’s quite common for some muscle stiffness and limited mouth opening to occur. In following the principles of Siddha-Ayurveda, there are gentle ways to approach improving this condition.

Firstly, begin with warm oil massages to the jaw area. Using sesame oil, gently massage the outer part of your jaws in a circular motion. This may help ease muscle tightness. Do this twice a day for about 5 to 10 minutes each session.

Incorporate a warm salt gargle to reduce any residual tightness and inflammation. Dissolve half a teaspoon of rock salt in a glass of warm water and swish it around your mouth without forcing the movement. Do this after each meal and before sleep.

To aid in increasing your mouth opening gently, consider simple jaw exercises. Start by slowly opening and closing your mouth without forcing beyond comfort. As improvement is noticed, you can increase the range. Practicing this 4-5 times a day, with gradual increments in repetitions, might be beneficial.

Importantly, monitor your diet; avoid hard or chewy foods that may require excessive jaw movement. Opt for softer or semi-liquid food for now to prevent further strain.

It’s essential to maintain overall balance in your doshas, particularly focusing on calming Vata, which can be aggravated post-surgery. Avoid excessive cold or very dry foods. Instead, focus on warm, cooked, and slightly oily meals to help pacify Vata dosha.

Should the pain persist despite these measures, or if you experience any other concerning symptoms, it is important to follow-up with a dental specialist to rule out any underlying complications. Your health should always come first.
