Managing Chest Congestion and Allergic Rhinitis - #48229

Client_8d4027

I have chest congestion since last few months (since August 2025) due to allergic rhinitis which I suffer from since childhood. I was trying to self manage it with Allegra 120 mg but it stopped working for me last month in December .i.e. the symptom suppression (itchy eyes, sneezing due to dust )effect per tablet taken on empty stomach reduced from 2-3 days to just few hours per tablet so I went to my family doctor on 2 nd Jan 2026. 10 days into treatment i.e Last week I also developed fever and cough so I went to my family doctor again who is now treating it with antibiotics. And X-ray taken clearly shows right lung is infected. Can I eat raw amla or lemon juice in warm water with honey on empty stomach in morning (for vitamin C) or will it aggravate my chest congestion? I am also borderline anemic(less iron in blood) as recent blood test showed 12.3 hemoglobin. Can I eat dried apricots, anjeer, and dates soaked overnight for 9 hours to naturally increase iron levels or will it also aggravate my chest congestion further?

How long have you been experiencing chest congestion?:

- 1-6 months

Have you noticed any specific triggers for your symptoms?:

- Dust

What is your current diet like?:

- Balanced, includes fruits and vegetables
