How to reduce swelling in my left eye after exposure to smoke? - #48997

Client_9bde47

Hello Doctor, My eyes started watering a lot four days ago after I lit some sambrani dhoop cups at home. The smoke got right inside my eyes and nose. Throughout the afternoon, they were watering and itching. At night, I noticed swelling in both the upper and lower eyelids. A day later, antihistamines were given. The top left eyelid is still a little puffy. No other issues, such as inflammation, runny eyes, or itching. Is there any way to reduce the remaining swelling in my left eye? Many thanks.

How would you rate the severity of the swelling in your left eyelid?:

- Mild

Have you experienced any other symptoms since the exposure?:

- Mild itching

What treatments have you tried for the swelling?:

- Nothing yet

Doctors' responses

Wash your eyes with trifla water 2-3 times a day Put carboxy methyl cellulose eye drops 3-4times a day 1-1 drop in both eyes. Cold compress 1-2 min if severe burning and itching . If symptoms persist after 2-3 days then consult opthalmologist offline.
