Honey mixed with warm water is an excellent remedy for soothing the throat. Adding ginger, lemon, or turmeric can enhance its benefits. Ginger helps reduce inflammation and fight infection, while turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. A combination of honey, ginger, and lemon is particularly effective for both types of cough, as it also supports immunity and provides relief.

Mulethi (licorice root) is another effective remedy. It can be chewed directly or used to make tea. Mulethi has soothing properties and can help with throat irritation, as well as loosen mucus in a wet cough. For dry cough, honey is indeed a hero. Mixing it with a touch of ginger and a squeeze of lemon can be magic. Ginger helps with inflammation, lemon offers vitamin C, and honey soothes. You can take this combo thrice a day. For wet cough tho, honey and turmeric is great due to turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Mulethi, or licorice root, is a classic Ayurvedic go-to for throat irritation. Chewing straight is fine but making a tea allows you to sip on its goodness. Just boil some water with a bit of Mulethi and sip away. Takes a little time but it’s soothing.
