Turmeric, with its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, helps reduce irritation and supports the immune system. These remedies can be consumed in tea form with warm water, honey, and a pinch of turmeric, or you can take raw honey with ginger juice for quicker relief. Steam inhalation with eucalyptus or mint essential oils can also be very effective, as these oils help clear the airways and reduce irritation. Additionally, elevating the head while sleeping can prevent mucus from accumulating and triggering coughing. And about honey, do try taking a teaspoon of raw, organic honey before you sleep. It acts as a natural cough suppressant and coats the throat, which might just make your night a little smoother.
