I am really confused about how to use mulethi powder. Last week I started experiencing this persistent cough that just won't go away, and a friend mentioned that mulethi powder could be helpful. I've tried some home remedies, but nothing seems to work as expected. I’ve read that mulethi can help soothe the throat and even act as a natural expectorant, but I’m unsure how to incorporate it into my daily routine. I want to mix it with honey or maybe add it to warm water? But I have no idea how much I should use. And I heard something about making a tea with it too, but I couldn’t find a good recipe. Oh! And I even found out mulethi is great for digestion too, which I could use some help with since I’ve been feeling bloated. How to use mulethi powder for these different issues? Should I be taking it every day or just when the cough acts up? I just feel lost and wondering if I’m missing a better way to go about using mulethi powder. Any tips would be super appreciated!

To use mulethi powder effectively, especially for that persistent cough, you’re on the right track with a few methods. Mulethi, known as licorice in some parts, has been a traditional go-to for soothing throat irritation and acting as a natural expectorant. Here’s a practical way to incorporate it into your routine:

1. Mulethi with Honey: For cough relief, mix just about half a teaspoon of mulethi powder with a tablespoon of honey. Take this once or twice daily, preferably in the morning or evening. The combination should help soothe your throat and reduce coughing.

2. Mulethi Tea: You can indeed make a simple tea by boiling a cup of water and adding half to one teaspoon of mulethi powder. Let it simmer for around 5 minutes, strain, and drink. You can sip this mulethi tea once or twice a day. It’s not just soothing for a cough but aids digestion too.

3. Warm Water Mix: If you prefer a simpler method, stir half a teaspoon of mulethi powder into warm water. You can do this once per day, preferably after meals, to assist with digestion and reduce bloating.

Regarding frequency: When experiencing acute symptoms like frequent coughing episodes, these remedies can be used daily for a week. However, continuously taking mulethi in higher amounts over a long period is not recommended as it may potentially lead to elevated blood pressure or disturb your electrolyte balance.
