Seeking Relief from Persistent Dry Cough - #46370

A 35 y /F pt non Dm / HTN has moderate to severe dry cough since 15- 20 days. I had administered her with tab koflet + syp crux due to her demand for palatable medicines & instant relief . The symptoms haven't subsided yet . Also pt has aversion to honey . Could any one suggest me any other drugs that can prescribe her.

Hello,
The following are palatable+ effective:
1. Talisapatradi churnam (boil one cup of water; add 1 teaspoon of powder; boil for a minute; now strain to remove the powder. Drink this tea three times a day.
2. Agastya rasayanam one teaspoon two times a day with hot milk after breakfast and after dinner.
3. Kantasudharaka vati one tablet to be chewed 5 to 6 times a day.
All the 3 are for 15 days.

Avoid chilled, spicy and processed foods.
Regular exercise.
Use boiled water for drinking.
Increase intake of raw vegetables and fruits.
