Syeda Qurratulain Rizvi 22 years old CT scan chest (no ionic ) A large, well defined , intraparenchymal cystic mass lesion is seen in right middle lobe with transfissural extension seen in right lower lobe , measuring approximately 83.0× 78.0 mm (TS× AP) with a craniocaudal extent of 97.5mm. It is associated with compressive effacement of adjacent parenchyma.Medially, it is abutting mediastinum with compressive effacement of superior vena cava seen .No evidence of intralesional calcification or fat seen . All these findings are due to benign lesion, most likely right lung bronchogenic cyst. No evidence of interlobar and intralobular septal thickening or bronchiectasis. No evidence of pleural effusion ,pleural thickening, plaque or pneumothorax. No evidence of hilar,mediastinal , supraclavicular or axillary lymphadenopathy. Heart size is normal .No evidence of pericardial effusion is seen . Trachea and esophagus are normal . Vascular and bony structures are normal. Conclusion Right lung benign lesion ,most likely is a bronchogenic cyst .D/D Hydatid cyst is less likely. Symptoms cough with phlegm in blood
