I feel sleepiness & lack of energy. - #1071

Mayank Aggarwal

I feel sleepiness and lack of energy. I don't feel freshness in mind after getting up. I got my full body checkup done and the report indicates that my vitamin D levels are very low and cholesterol is slightly above the maximum limit and bilirubin & some other liver parameters are slightly above the limit and there are some bacteria and nitrate in my urine. Also, platelet size is increased.

आयु: 36
पुरानी बीमारियाँ: Foul Smell in urine & sleepiness and lack of energy and freshness.

your symptoms of sleepiness, lack of energy, and feeling unrefreshed upon waking, combined with low vitamin D, elevated cholesterol, liver imbalances, and urinary issues, suggest several imbalances in the body, particularly in Pitta (which governs metabolism and digestion) and Kapha (which governs energy and structure). The low vitamin D could be linked to weak Agni (digestive fire), which in turn affects nutrient absorption and overall vitality. The liver imbalances and increased cholesterol indicate Ama (toxins) accumulation, which is often due to sluggish digestion or improper metabolism. The presence of bacteria and nitrates in the urine points to a possible Vata imbalance and may suggest urinary tract infection or poor kidney function.

To address these imbalances, Ayurvedic treatment would focus on strengthening digestion, detoxifying the liver, and balancing Pitta and Kapha. Herbs like Guduchi (Tinospora), Turmeric, and Amla for liver health, Ashwagandha for vitality, and Trikatu for improving digestion could be helpful. Additionally, a detoxifying regimen (Panchakarma) may be beneficial for cleansing the body of accumulated toxins. A diet that is light, anti-inflammatory, and rich in whole foods, along with lifestyle adjustments like stress management and regular physical activity, would further support your healing process.

Hey there! So, I totally get that feeling of sleepiness and low energy–super frustrating, right? Your reports show some stuff going on, kinda looks like a few things to tackle. First off, low vitamin D is a biggie. Getting some sunlight early morning, like 10-15 mins on your arms and face, can help boost it naturally. Maybe adding some vitamin D supplements too, but chat with your doc about the right dosage.

Now, cholesterol being slightly high—you might wanna focus on your diet a bit. Avoid too many fried or processed foods, and try getting more veggies and whole grains. Things like oats, nuts, especially walnuts and almonds, are good. They help in balancing cholesterol. Also, some daily light exercise like a simple walking routine might help.

Then there’s the liver stuff—bilirubin and all. Dandelion tea and eating bitter foods like turmeric can help cleanse the liver. Kinda helps in detoxifying, you know. But make sure you don’t overdo it; listen to your body.

The bacteria and nitrites in urines might suggest a wee bit of an infection. Cranberries might sound cliché, but cranberry juice or just more water helps. Maybe consult your healthcare provider if you feels symptoms like burning during urination.

Lastly, the platelet size thing, could be nothing or a sign of something that needs watching. Sometimes, drinking turmeric milk (golden milk) can be soothing, and help with overall inflammation. Just remember, each person’s body reacts unique, so what might work for one may not work for another.

Above all, regular sleep, managing stress (bit of meditation maybe?), and laughing often all help your energy levels. Hope this gives you some starting point in your Ayurveda path. Take care!

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
