Doctors' responses

At 31 years with long history of loose stools and now recent burning sensation with new food intolerances your condition looks more like gut sensitivity with mild inflammation and weak digestion rather than typical SIBO SIBO usually presents with bloating excessive gas abdominal discomfort multiple bowel movements fatigue and sometimes nutritional deficiency In your case you have only one bowel movement daily without gas bloating or pain so it is less likely to be classical SIBO Your symptoms suggest that the digestive fire is irregular and the intestinal lining has become sensitive which is why new foods are triggering loose stools and burning sensation This is more like a functional gut issue with heat component in the intestine Focus should be on calming the gut lining and improving digestion gently Avoid spicy oily sour and very hot foods which increase burning Also avoid foods that are triggering intolerance for now Take simple warm meals like soft cooked food moong dal soups and boiled vegetables Keep hydration good but avoid very cold drinks You can take buttermilk with roasted cumin and a pinch of rock salt in daytime if tolerated as it helps in improving gut balance

Hello I can understand it is difficult to dea with chronic and frequent loose stools and now over the top burning sensation is also started But dont worry i will clear you everything and help you to come over this 😊 ▪️For your understanding You are having functional digestive disorder. Which means -overactive digestion = frequent loose stools -Pitta imbalance seen as burning sensation -vata imbalance causing food sensitivity Important point in you case Your pass motion only once a dat which means that -you are not having severe diarrhoea -it is mostly digestive imbalance ▪️doubt about SIBO? It is mostly unlikely to be SIBO As in sibo -bloating is prominent -presence of abdominal discomfort -Frequent bowel movement is oresent As in you case There is ❌bloating -only one a daily bowel movement -have better appetite So it is not SIbo so be relaxed ▪️Then what is it actually? Your digestion is normal but it has become little sensitive -Foods gets very fast digested leading to loose motions -Your gut lining is slightly irritated ▪️So We should focus on -Calming your gut -improving gut flora -Improving better absorption -Making your digestion stable ▪️Ayurvedic Plan of treatment ➖Kutajaristha 20 ml twice daily after food Controls loose stools ➖Bilva Avaleha 1 tsp morning empty stomach Helps in improving consistency of stools ➖Musta churna 1 tsp with buttermilk after lunch This will help you to make your digestion stable ➖Avipathikar churna 1/4 tsp with warm water at bed time This will reduce your burning sensation ▪️Diet plan Follow -have warm freshly prepared -Rice with moong dal -1 tsp of ghee daily -have cooked vegetables only ➖Avoid -Spicy food -Fried food -raw food Have simple but nutrious food ▪️Simple tips to Stable digestion -have warm water in morning empty stomach -Before your lunch have 1/2 inch of dry ginger with rock salt -have regular fixed meal timing This is not typicla sibo it is functional imbalance and very well manageble So dont worry much start working on your gut 😊 Wishing you a good gut health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Hello, Your symptoms suggest a chronic but mild functional gut disorder, not a severe disease- but it does need proper correction rather than suppression Your have -loose stools once daily not frequently in number, but loose in consistency -burning sensation during stool recent -food intolerances developing -long duration (> 6 months) This points toward a condition similar to In modern terms -Mild IBS (irritable bowel syndrome- diarrhea type) -Possible gut sensitivity/ microbiome imbalance -SIBO may be possibility but not strongly suggested (because no bloating, gas, pain) Is it SIBO ? SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) usually has -bloating -gas -abdominal discomfort -multiple stools per day You do not have these, so -SIBO is less likely, but still possible in mild form Your condition matches Grahani dosha (IBS - like condition) Main imbalance -Pitta (heat)-> causing burning sensation -Vata (irregular digestion)-> causing loose stools -Weak agni (digestive fire) So your gut is -sensitive -slightly inflamed -unable to properly digest some foods Treatment goals We do not just stop loose stools We aim to -strengthen digestion -reduce intestinal irritation -stabilize bowel consistency -restores gut tolerance Internal medications 1) Kutajraishtam= 15ml+ equal water after meals twice daily =controls loose stools, reduces inflammation 2) Vayugulika tablets = 1 tab twice daily after meals =helpful if digestion is irregular 3) Dadimastakam churna= 1/2 tsp with warm water after meals =improves stool formation 4) Avipaatikar churna= 1/2 tsp with warm water at bedtime =for burning sensation External supportive therapy Abdominal oil massage -use warm sesame oil -daily before bath -improves gut nerve function DIET -warm, freshly cooked food -rice + moong dal khichdi -buttermilk very important -add roasted jeera + rock salt -boiled vegetables -pomegranate excellent for your case AVOID -spicy, oily, fried food -tea/coffee on empty stomach -milk if intolerant -raw salads temporarily -packaged/ junk food Special remedy -roasted fennel + cumin powder =1/2 tsp after meals Home remedies 1) Buttermilk therapy best for you -daily lunch -add roasted cumin, pinch of rock salt =restores gut flora + reduces burning 2) Pomegranate peel powder -1/2 tsp with honey = controls loose stools 3) Isabgol (if stools too loose) -1 tsp at night with warm water Yoga and pranayam daily 15-20 min -pawanmuktasana -vajrasana -balasana Pranayam -Anulom Vilom best -sheetali for burning sensation Investigation recommended -stool routine test -CBC -vitamin b12 -thyroif profile -SIBO breath test (if symptoms worsen) Your condition is -chronic but completely manageable -not dangerously -requires gut correction, not suppression With proper Ayurvedic treatment -stool will become formed -burning will reduce -food tolerance will improve Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

Your symptoms are not really pointing towards sibo, but can be ibs or any food allergy, like allergy to gluten ,lactose,or fructose. Please moniter your diet for these specifics one at a time and analyse any changes to your system. Go for a CBC,esr hsCRP,lft and stool examination to rule out inflammatory causes. In ayurveda your condition is comparable with grahani roga, in which the digestive strength is impaired causing metabolic disturbance and intestinal motility issues. The treatment plan usually consists in stages. 1st stage to rekindle your digestive health and second stage to improve your metabolic activity to prevent recurrence. So for 2 weeks take the following medications, follow the elimination tactic with gluten, lactose and fructose. Generally follow a mild freshly prepared diet food without much spice salt oil or masala. No fried items and junk food in the meantime also. If any difference in bowel pattern is seen after diet change let me know soon. Otherwise report back with reports after 2 weeks of medications

Namaste, Your symptoms — long-standing loose stools with recent burning sensation and food intolerance — indicate gut sensitivity with pitta involvement and disturbed intestinal function (grahani-type imbalance). The focus should be on stabilizing digestion, reducing burning, and improving gut tolerance. SIBO can present with similar symptoms, but in your case (once daily stool, good appetite, no major bloating or pain), it is more likely a functional digestion imbalance rather than a severe bacterial overgrowth. Avoid spicy, sour, fried, and fermented foods. Reduce excessive fruits, raw foods, and irregular eating. Prefer simple, warm, freshly cooked meals like rice, moong dal, and well-cooked vegetables. Maintain fixed meal timings and avoid overeating. Drink warm water and avoid cold beverages. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Kutajarishta – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after food Dadimashtaka Churna – 1 teaspoon, twice daily with food Kamadudha Ras (mild) – 1 tablet, twice daily after food These are traditionally used to regulate bowel movements, reduce burning sensation, and support intestinal balance when combined with proper diet. Avoid strong detox or fasting, as it may worsen sensitivity. With consistent care, bowel pattern and burning can improve over a few weeks. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.

Your condition is treatable, but since it is long-standing (years), it will take 6–8 weeks of consistent treatment to see stable improvement. 1)kutasajarishtam (kerala ayurveda) Dose: 15 ml + 15 ml water after meals, twice daily Helps control loose stools and strengthens intestines 2)dadimashtaka churna (kerala ayurveda) Dose: 1 tsp before meals with warm water, twice daily Best for grahani, improves food tolerance 3) avipattikar churna (kerala ayurveda) Dose: ½ tsp at bedtime with warm water Reduces pitta and burning in stools If you want, I can: Customize a diet chart based on your daily routine Or guide you step-by-step depending on your response to medicines Let me know 🌿
