Knee pain and osteoarthritis of knees.i - #22850

I have been hit by a cyclist in 2007 on my right knee . since then there is pain in knee .In 2022cartilage lost and on medial side bones started touching each other.Now left knee pain also started .Can this condition is managabke .I want solution.

Age: 55
Chronic illnesses: IMy both knees are in pain .Right kee much cartilage vis lost .left knee also pain started from two years can't walk much due to this problem.

Yes it will be manageable 1. Internal Medicines Yograj Guggulu – Take 2 tablets twice daily after food. Shallaki capsules – Take 1 capsule twice daily after food. Ashwagandha churna – Take 1 teaspoon with warm milk or water at bedtime. Rasnadi Kashayam or Maharasnadi Kashayam – Take 15 ml mixed with 45 ml warm water, twice daily before meals. 2.Oil massage (Abhyanga) – Gently massage both knees with warm Mahanarayan Tailam or Dhanwantharam oil every day . steam – After massage, apply a hot water bag or warm towel on the knees for 10–15 minutes daily to relieve stiffness. Janu Basti – Medicated warm oil is held on the knee in a dough ring. Do this once or twice a week for 5–7 sessions. Herbal paste (Lepa) – Apply a paste of Nirgundi powder + Castor oil or Eranda moola over the knee, 2–3 times a week at night, for pain and swelling.

3. Diet and Lifestyle Avoid cold, sour, fermented foods, curd, brinjal, and fried items. Eat warm, soft foods like khichdi, soups, ghee, green vegetables, drumsticks, and turmeric. Drink only warm water throughout the day. Maintain a healthy body weight to reduce pressure on the knees. Avoid climbing stairs. 4. Yoga and Exercise Practice simple knee exercises . Go for slow-paced walking on flat ground for 15–20 minutes daily. .
