sciatica (Gridhrasi) is caused by an imbalance of Vata dosha, which affects the sciatic nerve and leads to pain radiating from the lower back to the leg. —Diagnosis: Gridhrasi (Vataja Vyadhi) Rx: 1) Aimil Rheumatil Capsule 1 capsules twice daily After food with warm water 2) Painnil Gel Local application over lumbar region & radiating pain area 2–3 times daily 3) triflaTablet 1 tablet at bedtime with warm water ---- Supportive Advice (very important) Hot fomentation (Swedana) over lower back daily Abhyanga with sesame oil before bath Avoid prolonged sitting, cold exposure, heavy lifting Gentle stretching / walking daily ---- regular follow-up after 15 days.

Some regime you should follow ??Do’s:?? Eat freshly cooked food. Chew an inch of fresh ginger half an before meal. Eat only fruit vegetables. Limit dairy products (stop if possible) ???Yoga??? Virabhadrasana Trikonasana Vrukshasan Prasavkonasan Bhujangasan Balasan Shavana First thing in the morning as you open your eyes you have to do this exercise on bed. Raise your left leg straight up as high as you can without bending your knees. Bring in back down upto 5 degree donot touch down hold it in the air. Repeat this atleast 5 times in the start and slowly slowly increase the count. Repeat with other leg. This is a free and a very promissing method to reduce pain provided it is done regularly ???Pranayam??? Anulom Vilom Bhastrika Kapalbhati ?Dont’s:? Sitting directly under a fan or right in front of the A.C Oily, spicy, processed food. Packed food products. Sour and fermented items. Bakery items. Fried food products. Potatoes. ??Medication?? Tab. Ampachak Vati. 2 tabs twice a day before food. Tab. Sinhanad Guggul 2 tabs twice a day before food. Cap. Palsinuron 2 caps twice a day before food. Syp. Maharasnadi Kwath 3 tsp twice a day before food with warm water. Tab. Shankhavati 2 tabs twice a day after food. Suck and eat like hajmola Castor Oil. 3 tsp at bed time with a cup of hot water.

For that I have prescribed medications that you have to take constantly for 3 months , you will see results as ayurveda works on root cause it will take time Dos :- Always keep affected area warm , use a heating pad or warm water bag Avoid complete bed rest , practice gentle stretches Eat warm fresh cooked foods and add little amount of ghee everyday. Use a firm mattress to maintain posture Donts— Avoid cold showers cold winds refrigerated foods Don’t bend to lift heavy weights Avoid long travel on 2 wheeler or bumpy roads Limit dry foods like that creates dryness in body like popcorn sprouts dry salads AYURVEDIC THERAPIES recommended - Kati basti , Basti , elakizhi
