Skin changes after pregnancy are common, and Ayurveda provides holistic approaches to address these issues effectively. The recurring skin patches you mention could be due to dosha imbalances, which are typical after childbirth. It's possible that vata and pitta doshas are disrupted, influencing your skin health.
To manage these patches, first of all, opt for a gentle and consistent skincare regimen. Consider preparing a natural paste with sandalwood powder and rose water. Apply this daily to the patches—they have soothing properties and help balance vata and pitta. You can leave it on for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a soft towel, don't rub.
Secondly, incorporate more hydrating and cooling foods into your diet. Cucumbers, sweet fruits like melons, and coconut water are excellent choices. Ghee, cooked in warm foods, can also nourish the skin from the inside. Avoid very spicy, fried or oily foods which might aggravate pitta and thus skin issues.
As for boosting your energy and invoking a sense of freshness in daily life, a morning routine can make all the difference. Start with a glass of warm water with a few drops of lemon to gently cleanse your system. Consider adding a spoonful of honey for energy and taste. Then do some light stretching or yoga to get the blood flowing, which revitalizes the body and clears the mind.
In terms of specific rejuvenation, Ayurveda speaks highly of Ashwagandha and Shatavari, both known for their restorative properties when taken in moderation. These herbs are usually available as powders. Start with a small amount, about a half-teaspoon, mix it with warm milk or water in the evening. Adjust gradually based on how your body responds.
But finally, since this is a recurring issue, it's best to consult a local Ayurvedic practitioner who can give you tailored advice considering your full constitution and overall health. If severe, persistent changes occur, do seek out a dermatologist who may offer a deeper understanding of the condition from a different perspective.
