How can I reduce the pain of my backbone in the hip area. - #19721

Iram

A year back I fell in the bathroom and sat flat on my bottoms. The jeck I felt in my hip vertebra and my neck vertebra. Since then I feel pain frequently in these two areas. I have had my gallbladder removal surgery too. So whenever I complain about weakness in my back or limb. Everyone says it must be because you are not able to digest fat that easily. And I'm confused that I have back ache and people don't understand.

do you experience any digestive issues like bloating, acidity, or constipation since your gallbladder removal? How is your appetite and energy level? Do you feel any stiffness or discomfort in the mornings, or does the pain worsen after certain activities or postures? Additionally, it would be important to understand the intensity of the pain in your hip and neck and whether you experience any numbness or tingling sensations. Since your back and limb weakness could be related to both the trauma from your fall and your digestive system, understanding your overall physical and emotional health is key to determining the root cause of your symptoms.

Oh man, that sounds pretty rough. Falling like that could interrupt the natural balance of your doshas and, yes know it might sound a bit out there, but it’s absolutely all connected. Your hip and neck pain, along with your previous gallbladder surgery, suggest some kind of imbalance that’s been lingering for a while. So here’s something that might actually help from an Ayurvedic standpoint.

First things first, the Vata dosha probably got a bit aggravated from your fall. Vata imbalances often lead to pain and discomfort in bones and joints. To calm Vata, let’s focus on grounding and nourishing routines. Start with warm massages using sesame oil. It’s heavy and warming, perfect to calm Vata, rub it into the painful areas gently every evening and let it soak for a while.

As for your diet, considering you’re having trouble with fats due to your gallbladder removal, aim for easy-to-digest meals. Cooked meals with spices like ginger, cumin, and coriander can help kindle your digestive fire or Agni without overwhelming your system. Avoid raw, cold foods and heavy fats for now, stick with lighter oils like just a little bit of olive oil or ghee to support digestion.

Since the fall and surgery have probably left you with some stress – don’t overlook relaxation techniques. Breathing exercises and meditation can be very calming. They’re great for keeping calm… give deep-breathing stuff a try whenever you find moment, they’re seriously helpful.

And movement’s key! Gentle yoga sessions focusing on spine-supporting poses can help. Think Cat-Cow or Child’s Pose for gentle stretches. Take it slow though. Maybe a little inconsistency but it’s important, a walk every day even short, really works wonders for the mind and body.

If pain ever worsens or isn’t easing up, don’t hesitate to seek medical attention. It’s crucial to have a proper diagnosis. Stay consistent with checks-ups. Pain’s no small thing to ignore.
