is shilajit good for women - #23280

Hannah
मुफ़्त

I am trying to figure out if shilajit is good for women. So, here’s the thing, I’ve been feeling super tired lately. No matter how much I sleep, I feel like I’ve got no energy. A friend mentioned shilajit and how it helped her with her fatigue. But then I read some stuff online that said shilajit might have different effects on women compared to men? Is shilajit good for women, really? Like, are there any specific benefits for women, especially for energy and maybe even hormones? I hope to get some clarity on this, cause I’m a bit sceptical but really need a boost. Any experiences or advice? Thanks!

Shilajit, indeed, can be beneficial for women, and it has been traditionally used in Ayurveda as a general tonic. Your fatigue can stem from various causative factors—like stress, nutritional deficiencies or hormonal imbalances—and addressing the root cause is essential. Shilajit is known to support energy and stamina by enhancing cellular function and promoting ATP production, so it can give you a little extra boost you’re looking for. It’s reputed for its adaptogenic properties, helping the body adapt to stress, which is really practical for tackling fatigue.

In women, shilajit might also help stabilize hormonal fluctuations which often play a part in low energy levels, especially around menstrual cycles or menopause. Some women have reported improved energy, mood, and even more regular cycles with consistent use. However, while it can support overall vitality, it’s essential to bear in mind your unique body constitution. In Ayurvedic terms, understanding your dosha type—vata, pitta, or kapha—is key.

Before jumping in, consider how you feel after couple of days. Start with a small dose, about a pea-sized amount dissolved in warm water or milk once a day, preferably in the morning. Observe how your body reacts. If you experience any discomfort, stop and consult an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Parallelly, ensure a balanced diet rich in leafy greens, nuts and seeds for iron, and whole grains to maintain your energy. Practicing regular breathing exercises such as Pranayama can enhance vitality too, and maintaining regular sleep patterns will support your energy levels more effectively than supplements alone.

Each individual responds differently, so be mindful. And if your fatigue persists, do get your thyroid checked or explore deeper underlying issues with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions. Remember, Ayurvedic remedies like shilajit work best combined with lifestyle adjustments and a holistic view of health.
