Abdominal pain and poor digestion might arise from imbalanced pita or low digestive fire. Eating smaller meals more frequently and drinking ginger tea can aid digestion. It’s crucial to maintain regularity without overexertion since AS can make the spine rigid.

Incorporating stress management practices like meditation, or pranayama can also support both vata and pitta balance. Whenever symptoms worsen or pain becomes unmanageable, consulting with an orthopedic specialist is essential—they can provide further evaluation and adjust treatment as needed. In severe cases, integration with conventional treatments ensures broadest support.
