हाय, मैं पिछले कुछ महीनों से गर्दन और फ्रोजन शोल्डर के दर्द से परेशान हूँ। मीनोपॉज स्टेज और टाइप 2 डायबिटीज के कारण मांसपेशियों की कमजोरी हो रही है। मुझे गर्दन, दाहिने कंधे, ऊपरी बांह, कोहनी, अग्रभाग और अब दर्द कलाई, हथेली और दाहिने अंगूठे तक फैलने में मदद की जरूरत है।

The discomfort you’re experiencing in your neck and shoulder is common during menopause, particularly coupled with type 2 diabetes, which can affect muscle health. The pain radiating to your arm and hand suggests potentially some involvement of the nerves stemming from the cervical spine. It’s crucial to address these symptoms comprehensively from an Ayurvedic perspective. Your body’s Vikriti (current imbalance) likely stems from aggravated Vata dosha, which in this context affects the Majja dhatu (neural tissue).

First, consider Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm Mahanarayan oil or sesame oil. Warm the oil slightly and gently massage it onto the neck, shoulder, and all along the affected arm to the wrist. This can help soothe the Vata and relieve stiffness and pain. Perform this regularly, twice a day for persistent issues.

Herbal remedies play a significant role too. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are particularly beneficial for menopause-related muscle loss. Ashwagandha can help improve muscle strength and vitality, while Shatavari is nourishing and supportive of the female reproductive system during menopause. Try taking them as a powder mixed with warm milk, once daily.

Given the nerve involvement, Nasya (nasal administration of medicated oil) can be beneficial, especially with Anu Taila. You can apply 2-3 drops in each nostril on an empty stomach in the morning. This traditional treatment supports neurological health and balance Vata.

Dietary measures would include focusing on warm, cooked foods to stabilize blood sugar and avoid exacerbating Vata imbalance. Incorporate whole grains, freshly cooked vegetables, and ensure you’re consuming adequate protein to support muscle health. Use warming spices like ginger, cinnamon, and turmeric.

Practice gentle yoga and stretching exercises targeting neck and shoulder mobility, but avoid any movement that aggravates the pain. Regular walking can also be helpful for overall circulation and blood sugar management.

However, because the pain extends to your arm and hand, you should also consult a healthcare professional to rule out nerve compression or other underlying issues that may need more immediate medical attention. If you experience increasing weakness, tingling, or any other unusual symptoms, seek advice promptly.
