Mixing drakshava and kumarisava for weight gain is not the right approach and in most cases it can actually prevent healthy weight gain
Drakshava mainly improves digestion appetite blood quality and weakness due to anemia but it does not build muscle or tissue directly Kumarisava is more detoxifying and gut regulating in nature and in many people it increases metabolism and reduces heaviness which is opposite of what is needed for weight gain
When these two are mixed together the digestive fire may improve but tissue nourishment does not happen properly so weight may temporarily increase due to appetite but once the products are stopped the weight drops again
This explains why you gain a little while using products and lose weight immediately after stopping them
For permanent weight gain ayurveda focuses on improving digestion absorption and dhatu nourishment not just appetite
If digestion is weak or irregular no weight gain medicine will work long term
First digestion has to be stabilised then nourishing medicines are introduced and food timing sleep stress and meal quantity must be corrected
