For managing recurring neck and left hand pain due to cervical spondylosis, an integrative Ayurvedic strategy can be quite beneficial. Cervical spondylosis is often linked to Vata dosha imbalance, leading to rigidity and discomfort. An effective Ayurvedic approach will focus on reducing Vata and supporting joint health.

Start with lifestyle changes - maintain a regular sleeping and eating pattern. Sleep is crucial for healing, aim for going to bed early and waking up early. When it comes to diet, you want to intake warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest. Preferably have freshly prepared meals, avoid cold, raw food items which can aggravate your condition. Incorporate ghee and oils, which have lubricating properties helpful for Vata.

Daily gentle neck exercises can be beneficial. You could consider yoga asanas such as Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Tadasana (Mountain Pose) practice, if there’s no pain during these movements. But make sure not to strain, listen to your body’s limits.

Ashwagandha and Guggulu are two herbs known for their Vata calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Before incorporating them, consult with an Ayurvedic physician to tailor the dosage to your specific constitution.

Additionally, regular Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil may alleviate stiffness. Massage should be soft, especially around the neck area, follow with a warm shower.

Lastly, make sure to avoid prolonged screen time in one position, ensure ergonomic supports are used in your daily activities like proper chairs with neck support and avoid looking down long periods on your smartphone.

For any severe or acute symptoms—numbness in hands, loss of balance, or intense pain—seek an orthopedist for evaluation. Ayurveda complements but shouldn’t replace conventional care where serious structural damage is suspected or present.
