Shoulder and Neck Pain After Hair Oil and Zumba - #45399

I'm having neerirakam pain for 2 weeks now in my left side shoulder neck chest and hands. It was caused after applying hair oil overnight and didn't wash my hair for 2 days.After that the pain started and after few days it was ok like.. Then I went for zumba exercise and suddenly the pain increased. What Should i do. Any home remedy,? Thank you

1. Warm Oil Massage: Use warm sesame oil or mustard oil for a gentle massage on the affected areas. These oils penetrate deeply, alleviating stiffness and boosting blood circulation. Warm the oil slightly, apply it on your neck, shoulder, chest and hands before a warm shower. Do this at least twice daily.

2. Herbal Paste: Take fresh ginger paste or turmeric paste and apply it on the painful areas. Both have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help relieve discomfort. Leave the paste on for 20-30 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.

3. Herbal Alepa: Consider preparing a paste made of Ashwagandha and Bala powders mixed with warm water or sesame oil and apply to painful areas for its soothing and rejuvenating effects.

4. Hot Compress: Use a hot water bag or a warm (not too hot) towel compress on the affected areas to maintain warmth and enhance circulation, thereby reducing pain.

5. Dietary Changes: Reduce foods that increase Kapha, like dairy products, fried or cold foods. Instead, consume a Kapha-balancing diet with warming herbs and spices like cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper, and ensure you keep hydrated with warm water and herbal teas.

6. Rest and Light Stretching: Allow time for rest; avoid strenuous workouts until the pain subsides, practicing gentle stretches if comfortable, focusing on the neck and shoulder mobility.

If the pain persists or worsens, it may be essential to consult a healthcare professional or an Ayurvedic practitioner for a more thorough evaluation and personalized treatment plan. Keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms, like severe chest pain or shortness of breath, which would require immediate medical attention.
