My name is Srishti Sai Shankar, and I am a Year 12 student currently completing my HSC Design and Technology Major Project. My project focuses on designing a herbal knee brace that supports joint pain relief using natural and traditional approaches. The concept combines physical knee support with Ayurvedic principles, particularly the use of specific herbs and gentle temperature regulation to help reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation in the knee joint. As part of the research and investigation stage of my HSC project, I am required to consult experts so that my design decisions are informed, safe, and based on authentic knowledge.
