Doctors' responses
-Diagnosis : Sheetapitta / Udarda (Chronic Urticaria, Pitta-Kapha predominance) Duration: 1–6 months -Chief Complaints: Recurrent hives, itching, no clear triggers -Internal Medicines: 1) haridrakhand – 5 grams, orally, twice daily, after meals with warm milk or water. 2)Syp Neemelia – 15 ml, orally, twice daily, after meals. 3)Aarogyavardhini Vati – 250 mg, orally, twice daily, after meals (start with half dose if you are sensitive). 4)Rakhshodhak Vati – 250 mg, orally, twice daily, after meals. 5)Gandhak Rasayan – 125 mg, orally, twice daily, after meals with warm water. -External / Local Care: Apply a thin paste of Neem + Turmeric on affected areas 1–2 times daily to reduce itching. For generalized hives, Neem leaf or Turmeric decoction bath once daily. Optional: Coconut oil for moisturizing the skin after bathing. -Dietary Advice: Follow a Pitta-Kapha balancing diet. Avoid spicy, sour, oily, fermented, and processed foods. Avoid high-histamine foods: aged cheeses, pickles, processed meats, alcohol. Prefer fresh fruits, vegetables, and warm water/herbal teas (coriander, fennel). -Lifestyle Recommendations: Maintain regular sleep (7–8 hours). Practice stress reduction techniques: pranayama, meditation, gentle yoga. Avoid excessive heat, sun exposure, or cold drafts if itching worsens. -Follow-Up: Review symptoms every 2–4 weeks. Monitor frequency and severity of hives and dependence on antihistamines. -Start medicines gradually and observe tolerance, especially with Aarogyavardhini Vati. Continue antihistamines if flare-ups are severe; Ayurvedic medicines are supportive and aim to reduce dependence gradually.
