1000+ verified doctorsI am suffering from itchy and sore throat. It comes only if i take fruits, sweets, cookies and even with meal. I am a psychiatric patient using anti depressents and sleep pills. Thus mouth become dry and the remnants of tablets come out and its bitter. My scan and other reports say no abnormality in throat, gut. I consulted general physician, gastro, ent specialists. Some prescribed medicine to stop reflexes, cough, immune, allergic. So I requst you to how I could follow up further for betterment. Thanks.

–Your throat reports are normal, which is reassuring. The most likely cause of your itchy and sore throat is dryness from your antidepressant and sleep medicines. When the mouth becomes dry, fruits and sweets can easily irritate the throat. Mild silent reflux may also be contributing. —Rx: 1)Yashtimadhu Churna – ½ tsp with lukewarm water, BD after food 2)Kamdudha Ras (Mukta Yukta) – 1 tab BD after food 3)Talisadi Churna – ½ tsp with honey, BD 4)Khadiradi Vati – 1 tab to suck, TDS 5)Triphala Kwath – 20 ml HS (if bowel irregular) Anupana: Lukewarm water ----Advice: Avoid citrus fruits, very sweet & dry foods Small frequent meals No food 3 hrs before sleep Warm water sipping Rinse mouth after tablets —Review after 15 days
