To manage your symptoms effectively, consider incorporating Ayurvedic herbs like Guggulu and Ashwagandha, which have anti-inflammatory properties and can help alleviate pain while promoting muscle relaxation. Turmeric can also be beneficial due to its powerful anti-inflammatory effects; you can consume it in food or as a supplement.

In addition to herbal treatments, practicing gentle yoga stretches that focus on the neck and shoulder areas can help improve flexibility and reduce stiffness. Consider using warm compresses on the affected areas to enhance blood circulation and provide relief.

Also, incorporating a nourishing diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods, such as ginger, garlic, and omega-3 fatty acids, may support your overall health and help reduce pain. Given your gastritis history, it’s essential to ensure that any dietary changes are gentle on your stomach.

If your pain persists despite these changes, it would be wise to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored treatment plan that includes therapies such as Abhyanga (oil massage) or Kati Basti (localised warm oil treatment), which can provide targeted relief for your neck and shoulder pain.

Neck and shoulder pain can be a real bummer, I totally get it. Those painkillers and gels might give temporary relief but sometimes they just don’t cut it. Ayurveda looks at things a bit differently - it’s all about balance and getting to the root of the issue. Your pain could be linked to a Vata imbalance. Vata, which governs movement, can cause tightness or stiffness in joints and muscles when it’s aggravated. So here’s what you might wanna try to address this:

First off, keep up with those neck exercises, but make sure you’re doing 'em gently to avoid straining. You might wanna add in some more specific Ayurvedic treatments. Abhyanga, or warm oil self-massage, is really beneficial. Use sesame oil– it’s warming and grounding for Vata. Warm the oil and gently massage your neck and shoulders daily before showering. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes.

Next, consider guggulu-based formulations. They help reduce inflammation and improve joint flexibility. Yogaraj Guggulu is a well-known Ayurvedic blend that supports musculoskeletal health. But since it’s best to tailor recommendations to your specific physiology, it’d be smart to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner firsthand.

Diet is huge too– maintaining a Vata-pacifying diet can make a big difference. Eat warm, moist and grounding foods like soups and stews. Avoid cold and dry stuff; it can aggravate Vata more. Drinking herbal teas made with ginger or tulsi might help as well.

And watch your posture! Make sure you’re sitting right, with your computer or phone at eye level, as much as possible. Chronic poor posture often leads to neck and shoulder issues.

Finally, stress can exacerbate pain, so is good to manage it with practices like meditation or gentle yoga. These could help to aleviate some of that tension that might be contributing to your discomfort.

Always a good idea to check with your doctor before starting any new treatments or supplements though! You wanna be extra sure there’s no contraindications with any current medications you’re on. Stay safe and take care! Hope this helps.
