For psoriatic arthritis in the ankle and feet without redness or burning pain, applying the right Ayurvedic oil can offer some relief. A suitable option is Mahanarayan Oil, a classical preparation renowned for its ability to support joint health and reduce inflammation. Its blend of anti-inflammatory herbs can help ease swelling and pain, promoting better mobility and comfort.

When using Mahanarayan Oil for abhyanga (oil massage), apply a generous amount to your hands and gently massage it into your ankles and feet with circular motions around the joints. This helps the oil penetrate deeper into the tissues, enhancing its effectiveness. Aim to do this twice daily, preferably in the morning and evening; ideally allowing the oil to sit on your skin for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. Warm oil tends to be more effective, so you might consider gently heating the oil by placing the bottle in warm water before application.

In case Mahanarayan Oil is not available, another alternative could be Ksheerabala Oil which is milder but also beneficial for alleviating joint issues. Remember as well to consider lifestyle and dietary changes in alignment with Ayurvedic principles. Consuming anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger, and incorporating moderate exercise such as gentle yoga or walking can complement the topical application of oils. Also, try to manage stress effectively as it can exacerbate symptoms of psoriatic arthritis; techniques such as meditation or Pranayama (breathing exercises) may be useful.

It’s a good idea to continue working with healthcare providers, especially if you’re seeking a holistic approach incorporating both Ayurvedic and conventional treatments. As always, ensure any new treatments you’re considering are safe based on your individual health profile.
