Doctors' responses

Hello Deepu, For proper assessment and advice, it is important for me to know the following information:

Since when have you been experiencing the pain near your liver, and does it worsen after meals or specific activities? Have you noticed any other symptoms like bloating, acidity, nausea, or changes in bowel movements? Were you diagnosed with any liver conditions like NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) or gastritis based on recent tests? What treatments or medications have you taken so far, and did any provide temporary relief? Have there been any recent changes in your diet, lifestyle, or stress levels that could be contributing to your symptoms? This information will help in determining the most suitable treatment plan for you.

Hi Deepu, Can you tell me if you experience any digestive issues like bloating, nausea, or indigestion, especially after meals? Also, how is your energy level throughout the day—do you feel fatigued or weak? Lastly, have you noticed any emotional stress or changes in your sleep patterns, as these can sometimes affect liver health and digestion? This will help me suggest a more holistic approach for your condition.

Your situation sounds quite frustrating, especially when you’re doing everything you can & don’t see results. First off, let’s dig into your fatty liver and the antral erosion — these both suggest imbalances that Ayurveda can aim to balance out. Our goal is to improve your digestion and metabolism.

Firtly, this might sound a bit counterintuitive, but focusing on balancing your ‘agni’ or digestive fire might help. Try sipping on some warm water throughout the day — it can literally be as simple as bringing more warmth and balance into your system. A bit of ginger tea before meals can also be a game-changer for digestive power. Just a slice, seeped in hot water.

Also, if you have been losing weight and unable to gain, consider incorporating nourishing foods like kitchari — it’s basically rice and mung beans with spices that’s gentle on the gut and balances Vata and Pitta doshas. Cook it soft, and seasoned with cumin, turmeric, and a pinch of salt. It’s satisfying yet light, helping with absorption without overwhelming the liver.

Regarding the fatty liver, focusing on Pitta-related practices can be soothing. Perhaps try including more cucumber, gourds, and pomegranate in your meals; they’re naturally cooling. But, cut out heavy, oily, and deep-fried stuff too it can stress the liver out.

Now on a lifestyle note, any kind of intense stress or irregularities in your daily routine can mess with your digestion big time. Try some gentle yoga or pranayama — but be consistent with it, even if its just10 mins. Daily rhythms matter.

This doesn’t doesn’t replace medical advice and if pain persists or worsens, you should consult with health professionals immediately. Safety first always! If Ayurveda approaches fascinate you, then maybe this is a journey rather than a quick fix, tailored to your body’s unique rhythms. Hope this points you in the helpful direction!
