Hello I totally get why you’re worried. Knee pain that gets worse on stairs and keeps you up at night isn’t just a simple ache. It sounds like long-term wear and tear, according to Ayurveda. Painkillers might give you a quick fix, but they don’t heal the joint and can make your digestion or kidneys weaker down the line. But don’t stress! Ayurveda has some great ways to deal with this for good 😊 YOUR CONCERN –Knee pain for over half a year – Hurts when you walk or climb stairs – Pain at night – Hard to do everyday stuff This looks like classic knee osteoarthritis (cartilage wearing down). WHAT AYURVEDA SAYS In Ayurveda: – As we get older, deal with stress, have bad posture, are overweight, or do too much – Vata goes up – This dries out, thins, and cracks the cartilage and fluid in your knee – Which leads to pain, stiffness, cracking sounds, and trouble with stairs So, treatment needs to: - Calm Vata - Grease and feed the joint - Fix the cartilage AYURVEDIC PLAN EXTERNAL CARE (Most Important) – Massage your knee with oil every day – Mahanarayana Taila – Rub it in gently for 10–15 minutes, then use a hot water bag. – This will: - Get the blood flowing better - Calm swelling - Patch up soft tissues INTERNAL MEDICATION 1.Yograj Guggulu – 1 pill, twice a day 2. Shallaki (Boswellia) capsule – 1, twice a day 3. Maharasnadi Kashayam – 15 ml with warm water, twice a day with equal water 4. Ashwagandha churna – ½ tsp with milk at night These will: – Bring down joint swelling – Stop cartilage from getting worse – Help with lubrication If the pain is pretty bad You’ll get the best results from: 👉 Janu Basti (oil bath for your knee for a week or so) This is a top-notch Ayurvedic treatment for knee OA and can cut pain by a lot, like 60–80%. DIET AND LIFESTYLEAVOID - Cold food - Curd at night - Fried and processed stuff - Sitting on the floor, squatting ✅ INCLUDE – Warm, cooked meals – Ghee –Garlic – Moringa (drumstick) – Milk Do: –Use a soft knee brace when walking – Use an Indian toilet only if it doesn’t hurt much WHEN WILL YOU FEEL BETTER - Less pain in a couple of weeks - Easier to walk and use stairs in a month or two - Joint gets stronger in 2-3 months No need to stop walking – you need to feed your knee, not hold it back. With the right Ayurvedic stuff, you can save your knee from surgery Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
