डॉक्टरों की प्रतिक्रियाएं

Hi Manzoor,

Is the swelling present on both the knees? May I know your height please? When you touch the swelling, do you feel any kind of warmth there? Any particular time of the day, the pain aggravates. How is it when you wake up, do you have any kind of stiffness? Are any other joints swollen/ stiff?

Hello Manzoor, what is your BMI? Your knee arthritis, swelling, and stiffness for the past three years are worsened by your weight 100 kg). Since you have already taken painkillers without long-term relief and cannot afford PRP, focus on Ayurvedic remedies, weight management, and joint care.

Start with Dashmool Kwath (decoction) and Maharasnadi Kwath for inflammation. Shallaki and Ashwagandha tablets help with joint pain and flexibility. Apply Mahanarayan oil to the knees and do a hot compress daily. Avoid cold and heavy foods. Try gentle yoga or stretching to improve mobility. Have you experienced morning stiffness or pain worsening in cold weather? A proper diet and lifestyle adjustment are key to long-term relief. A detailed consultation will be in giving proper treatment plan.

Alright, let’s dive into this. Dealing with arthritis, especially when it’s been persisting for a while like three years and with swelling around the knee, can be quite troublesome. At your stage, it’s important to balance out the inflammation and manage pain without solely relying on painkillers—especially since they can sometimes mess with your stomach or cause other issues long-term.

Firstly, within the principles of Ayurveda, it sounds like there could be an imbalance in your Vata dosha, often connected with joint issues. Bringing this back to balance should help with your symptoms. Some natural remedies could be your go-to. Gomutra (Cow’s urine) is highly revered in Ayurveda for joint inflammation, although the taste might be off-putting.

Now, lets talk about diet because food plays a big part here. Consider incorporating anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric and ginger into your meals. You could start your day with warm water mixed with a pinch of turmeric and a dash of ginger, which might aid in reducing inflammation. Also, reducing intake of cold and dry foods, and replacing them with warm and moist meals. Say like soups, which can be soothing to your agni, or digestive fire.

Since your weight is also contributing to knee stress, maybe start with short, regular walks to keep joints mobile without overdoing it. Swimming, if accessible, is another joint-friendly exercise. If you don’t have access, basic stretches at home each day, even on a chair, just to keep the mobility.

You might also want to apply Mahanarayan Oil or even just warm sesame oil gently over the knee to ease discomfort. Wrap it in a warm cloth after if you can, it’ll soothe the area.

Can’t afford PRP but looking into Panchakarma therapies locally might bring relief as well, providing detox and invigoration for the body. Seek out experienced therapists in authentic Ayurvedic centers.

Be sure to keep your local doctor in the loop and any sudden worsening or severe pain happens, don’t hesitate to pursue immediate medical attention. Stay mindful and be gentle on your body – it’s been through quite a bit already!
