Hello Pandu, It sounds like you are dealing with a recurring urinary tract infection (UTI), which can cause significant discomfort. In Ayurveda, UTIs are often linked to an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, particularly affecting the urinary system. Drinking water and consuming buttermilk may provide temporary relief, but it's important to address the root cause of the issue. Have you had any recent urine tests or cultures done to check for infections or underlying issues? How often do you experience these symptoms, and do you have any other related health concerns, such as kidney or digestive issues? Also, what is your typical diet, and do you experience any stress or imbalances in your lifestyle?

Pain and burning sensation when urinating can be really uncomfortable, I'm sorry you're going through this. With a UTI, your best bet is often a few key Ayurvedic recommendations that can help calm things down. First, up your intake of barley water. It works like magic, acting as a diuretic and helps flush toxins. Just soak a tablespoon of barley seeds in water overnight, boil it the next morning and drink throughout the day. You did well with buttermilk too, add a pinch of cumin powder for an added benefit since it balances Pitta dosha, which is often agitated with UTIs. Coconut water might be another great friend for you right now, it naturally cools your body and soothes inflammation. Also, I'd suggest you include coriander seeds in your daily diet. A teaspoon of powdered coriander seeds can be soaked in warm water overnight — consume it first thing in the morning. Focus on foods that have a cooling effect on the body like cucumber and watermelon. Avoid spicy and oily foods for now as they can aggravate the symptoms. Keep drinking plenty of water, though not all at once, just spaced out over the day. And remember to empty your bladder fully when you using the bathroom. It's important. If your symptoms persist or worsen, please please do seek immediate medical attention. Some cases might require antibiotics or other medical treatments to prevent further complications. Ayurveda works wonders but don’t overlook allopathic treatments when necessary. Oh, and make sure you get enough rest, stress can worsen any condition. Hoping you feel much better very soon. 🤞
