Doctors’ responses

Hello , please get yourself examined by a urologist to rule out any possibility of Peyronie’s disease. Was there any trauma or infection in your penile area? Are you diabetic?

The curvature is usually due to fibrous plaque formation in the penile tissue. Ayurvedic herbs can help dissolve the plaque and improve elasticity. 1.Kanchanar Guggulu: 1tablet twice a day after meals with warm water. 2.Triphala guggulu 1 tab twice daily after food with water 3 Ashwagandha churna 1/2 tsp with milk at night

Hello Salman, Penile curvature, often referred to as Peyronie’s disease, can be distressing, and it’s important to understand the underlying factors contributing to it. Given your history of prostate problems, high blood pressure, and diabetes, it’s essential to consider how these conditions may affect your overall health and the specific symptoms you're experiencing. Could you tell me more about the degree of curvature, any pain or discomfort during erections, and whether you’ve noticed any changes in sexual function? In Ayurveda, we focus on balancing the body's doshas and strengthening tissues. Treatments may involve herbs that improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue healing, alongside detoxification therapies like Panchakarma. Yoga and meditation are also recommended to reduce stress, which can exacerbate such conditions.

Penile curvature, especially when coupled with a lengthy history and prostate issues, can be quite troubling. It's essential to understand that addressing the root cause is vital in Ayurveda, focusing on balance. Penile curvature can sometimes be associate with a condition known as Peyronie's disease. This may result from aggravated stress, vata dosha imbalance, or trauma. Begin with diet: ensure that you are consuming warm, unctuous (oily) foods that balance vata. This means favoring meals with whole grains, stewed fruits, and cooked veggies. Ghee is an excellent addition to your meals, as it supports tissue lubrication and health. Avoid iced drinks and overly dry or spicy foods, as these exacerbate vata. Ashwagandha, known for its vata-pacifying and rejuvenative properties, can be particularly beneficial. It supports tissue structuring and strength, aiding in reducing tension. Start with 1 teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder mixed in warm milk every night before bed. Incorporate regular abhyanga (self-oil massage) with sesame oil, which helps stimulate circulation and reduces vata. Focus on the pelvic area, using gentle circular motions. This practice grounds the body and aids by lowering stress levels. Breathing techniques, specifically Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), helps balance mind and body, reducing stress. Spend about 10 minutes each day practicing. However, given the history of prostate issues, a balance in diet and lifestyle is paramount. Ensure proper hydration, but avoid excessive water intake late in the evening, as that may cause discomfort or frequent urination at night. Routine should not be neglected – sleep and wake at consistent times, and avoid activities that pack stress into daily life. Physical activity like walking or gentle yoga can also be very helpful, but avoid exercises causing strain. While Ayurveda offers supportive therapies, it's equally important to regard this condition in conjunction with modern urological advice. Please consult your doctor for more immediate symptoms or when discomfort increases to monitor any potential changes in your condition.
