Hello Akshay, To better understand your condition, could you tell me more about your daily routine, posture, any physical strain or injuries, and your current diet? Are you experiencing any specific triggers or reliefs from certain activities?

In Ayurveda, the focus is on balancing Vata and nourishing the nervous system. Herbs like Ashwagandha, Bala, Guggulu, and Turmeric are often used to reduce inflammation, support the spine, and strengthen muscles. Additionally, treatments like Abhyanga (oil massage), Swedana (steam therapy), and Panchakarma detoxification can help relieve nerve pressure and improve circulation. Yoga and certain asanas can also help improve posture and reduce the pressure on your cervical spine.

Nerve compression, particularly associated with disc desiccation and cervical bulges, can lead to symptoms like yours, Akshay. In Ayurveda, such conditions are often related to imbalances in the Vata dosha, with its role in the nervous system and movement. To address these issues, let’s break down some steps you might find helpful:

Firstly, consider dietary changes to pacify Vata. Include warm, cooked meals, favoring moist and oily foods, like soups, stews, and porridges. Cook your grains and vegetables with ghee or sesame oil, as these are grounding and nourishing. Incorporate spices like ginger, turmeric, and cumin, which can aid in digestion and relieve inflammation. Avoid raw, cold, or dry foods, such as salads or crackers.

Next, regular abhyanga, an oil massage, can offer relief. Use warm sesame or Mahanarayan oil, applying it gently to affect areas. This not only helps with the circulation but also calms Vata. After application, let it sit for 15-20 minutes before taking a warm shower; to enhance benefits, perform this daily if possible.

Gentle yoga practices focused on spinal alignment and flexibility are also beneficial. Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) can improve posture and reduce tension. However, avoid any strenuous activities which might aggravate your condition.

To manage dizziness, consider consuming a decoction made from ginger and coriander, known for their grounding properties. Boil one teaspoon of ginger with a half-teaspoon of coriander seeds in a cup of water, strain, let cool a bit, and sip twice daily.

Hydration is crucial; warm fluids like herbal teas promote better absorption, so drink ample water but avoid ice-cold drinks. Also, consider Triphala at bedtime, which can support digestion without aggravating Vata.

Remember, these suggestions aim to manage and potentially alleviate symptoms. If you notice worsening symptoms or no improvement, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or a medical professional asap. Ayurveda works best alongside regular medical supervision, especially in complex conditions like these. Always prioritize safety and do seek urgent medical attention if symptoms suddenly escalate.
