Considering the range and severity of your symptoms, this situation requires immediate medical attention. Kidney stones, especially when they're around 9mm in size, can cause significant health complications, and this is compounded by your additional symptoms such as hydronephrosis, pulmonary edema, and signs suggestive of uremia. Ayurvedic treatments can be supportive, but they should not replace or delay necessary urgent interventions from your healthcare provider. Here’s what you can consider to complement your existing treatment plan: First, ensure you stay in close consultation with your nephrologist or a healthcare professional, especially given your GFR of 15, indicating severe kidney function impairment. Immediate, possibly surgical intervention might be necessary and delay could be harmful. In terms of Ayurveda, addressing diet and lifestyle can support your condition. It's crucial to follow a very light, easily digestible diet. Foods like moong dal soup, rice gruel (kanji), and vegetables should be well-cooked and without too many spices. Avoid salt and processed food, as these can exacerbate swelling and pressure on kidneys. Ensure you're avoiding excessive protein intake, especially animal proteins, to not overburden your kidneys. Hydration is typically recommended in Ayurveda to help expel stones, but since you have edema and low urine output, it’s essential to follow a doctor’s advice regarding fluid intake. They might limit fluids due to uremic symptoms and severe kidney conditions like yours. For creating a calming environment, practice gentle yoga or pranayama, focusing on slow, controlled breathing to help manage stress, irregular heartbeat, and shortness of breath. But, these should be done cautiously and only if your physical state allows. Consider Ayurvedic herbs under a trained practitioner's guidance, like Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) to support renal health, but given your symptoms, this might have limitations on its use. Lastly, focus on managing your digestive health, maintaining healthy agni (digestive fire) is crucial. Use small quantities of spices like ajwain (carom seeds) and cumin in your meals to aid digestion. Pay attention to what your body tolerates, and maintain a routine of resting when fatigued, and avoid physical strain.
