Asherman syndrome, characterized by the formation of adhesions or fibrosis within the uterus, can indeed impact menstrual flow and fertility. In Ayurveda, such cases are seen through the lens of balancing Doshas, particularly Vata dosha, which governs movement and flow in the body, including the menstrual cycle. Your experience with lighter periods following hysteroscopy, alongside recurrent miscarriages, suggests an imbalance that needs addressing. First, considering diet, focus on warm, nourishing foods that pacify Vata dosha. Incorporate whole grains like cooked oats and rice, along with plenty of cooked vegetables such as carrots, beets, and squash. Avoid cold, raw foods, which might aggravate Vata. Hydration is crucial too—ginger tea or warm water with a pinch of cumin and coriander can support digestive fire, or Agni. Lifestyle practices play a vital role. Regular Abhyanga (oil massage) using warm sesame oil can help in Vata pacification and improve circulation, particularly in the pelvic region. Try it before bathing, in gentle circular motions, focusing on the lower abdomen. Practice grounding exercises such as gentle yoga or pranayama like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) to calm the mind and stabilize the body’s energies. Herbal remedies could support your condition, like Ashoka or Shatavari, known for their uterine health benefits. Have a decoction of Shatavari with a bit of honey daily, but ensure to consult with your Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized doses. And while these practices support health, keeping in consult with your healthcare provider is essential too. Asherman syndrome requires careful management, and blending conventional with Ayurvedic approaches could provide a more integrated path to healing.
