Dr. Manjusha Vikrant Pate
With over 18 years of dedicated Ayurvedic practice, I have focused extensively on treating skin and hair disorders, integrating classical Panchakarma therapies with individualized care. A major aspect of my clinical approach involves Upakarma procedures—supportive therapies within Panchakarma—which I customize based on each patient’s Prakriti (constitutional type). I believe true healing begins when treatments are aligned with the body’s natural balance, and this philosophy guides every aspect of my work. My specialization includes the preparation and use of Ayurvedic formulations that I personally design, including face packs, hair packs, body oils, and facial oils—each one carefully selected and recommended according to the patient’s specific dosha and skin/hair condition. These formulations are result-oriented and rooted in time-tested Ayurvedic principles, ensuring safe, natural, and sustainable outcomes. In my practice, Ayurvedic facials are more than just cosmetic procedures; they are therapeutic treatments tailored to the unique constitution of each individual, aiming to restore inner and outer harmony. By incorporating dosha-based skincare routines and traditional beauty therapies, I help patients achieve visible improvement in conditions like pigmentation, acne, hair fall, and premature aging—without relying on chemical-based solutions. My goal is to blend classical Ayurveda with a practical, patient-focused approach. Whether managing chronic skin concerns, offering customized herbal solutions, or delivering rejuvenative Panchakarma therapies, I ensure each treatment is deeply personalized, holistic, and rooted in authentic Ayurvedic wisdom.

Losing weight through detoxification in Ayurveda involves a holistic approach focusing on balancing your doshas, optimizing digestion, and eliminating toxins (ama). Starting with understanding your unique constitution or prakriti is key. Identifying whether you are a Vata, Pitta, or Kapha dominant will guide the detox plan tailored to your individual needs. For a gentle detox, consider starting with your diet, as it plays a vital role in cleansing. Warm water with lemon first thing in the morning can stimulate agni, your digestive fire, helping to burn toxins. Trikatu churna, a blend of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger, can also be beneficial. Taking a pinch with warm water before meals may aid digestion. Regarding meals, favor warm, cooked, and easily digestible foods. Kitchari, a simple dish made of mung dal and rice, is known for its detoxifying qualities. Add vegetables like spinach and carrots, which are light and easy to digest. Avoid processed foods, dairy, and red meat, as they create heaviness and increase ama. Incorporate physical activity suited to your dosha. If you're a Vata type, gentle practices like yoga or tai chi are ideal. Pitta types might prefer swimming or cycling, which are cooling. Kapha types benefit from more intense exercise like jogging or aerobics to increase their metabolic rate. Herbal teas, like those containing fennel, cumin, and coriander, support detox and should be consumed throughout the day. They're known to soothe the digestive system and enhance metabolism. Mindful practices, such as daily self-massage with warm oils, can help in enhancing circulation and moving toxins out of your body through the lymphatic system. Choose sesame oil for Vata, coconut for Pitta, and mustard or sunflower for Kapha. Lastly, dedicate a little time daily for breathwork or meditation. These practices reduce stress, an often-overlooked contributor to weight gain. Consistency is key, and patience is necessary, as Ayurvedic detoxification is a gradual and wholesome process. If any discomfort arises or if you have medical conditions, consult a healthcare professional before making significant lifestyle changes.
