Hello Sonal,
What is the nature of your acne? Red & inflamed or dry and small with pigmentation? Are they painful too?
This are safe recommendations from my side- Apply Herbal Lepa: Make a paste using Nimbadi Churna, Triphala Churna, and Dhaniya (Coriander) powder with water or rose water. Apply it to the affected areas and leave it on for 20-30 minutes before rinsing off. It helps reduce inflammation and detoxify the skin.
Take Internal Herbs: Use Guduchi (Giloy) Ghanvati (1 tablet twice a day) and Nimbaamrutadi Kashayam for blood purification and to reduce Pitta.
Diet Modifications: Avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods.
Hydration: Drink boiled water infused with coriander seeds to detoxify the body.
Lifestyle: Practice Sheetali and Anulom Vilom pranayama to balance Pitta and reduce stress, which may worsen skin issues.

Hello Sonal, Acne, especially when persistent and occurring in multiple areas like the scalp, neck, and back, can often be linked to imbalances in Pitta and Kapha doshas, which affect the skin and its ability to detoxify properly. Given your thyroid condition and endometriosis, hormonal imbalances may also contribute to the recurring breakouts. Could you share more about your diet, stress levels, and any other symptoms like fatigue, irregular periods, or changes in skin texture? Additionally, do you experience digestive issues or food sensitivities?
In Ayurveda, we focus on treating acne from the inside out by improving digestion and detoxification. Herbs like Turmeric, Neem, Manjistha, and Aloe Vera can help detoxify the skin and balance hormones. A gentle, cooling routine with oils like Tea Tree or Lavender may also help alleviate itching and inflammation. A personalized Ayurvedic approach, including diet modification, stress management, and herbs tailored to your constitution, would be the best way forward. Would you be open to exploring these natural treatments along with monitoring your thyroid health?

Your issue with acne on the scalp, neck, and other areas could be linked to an imbalance in your doshas, particularly an excess of Pitta. Acne is often a Pitta-related issue, associated with heat, inflammation, and sometimes faulty digestion or ama (toxins) building up. Given that you're also taking thyroid medication, it's essential to consider how your hormonal balance might affect this condition.
Firstly, let’s focus on diet. Cooling and soothing foods help balance Pitta. Include more cucumbers, melons, leafy greens, and coriander. Avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods, as these can exacerbate your skin issues. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Herbal remedies can play a supportive role. Neem is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. You might consider taking neem capsules or applying neem paste to affected areas. Another beneficial option is turmeric, either in your diet or as a topical paste (mixed with water or honey).
In terms of lifestyle, stress can inflame acne issues, so practices like yoga or meditation may help. Incorporate Trataka or candle-gazing meditation to calm your mind and balance your doshas. Balance your sleep schedule; consistent sleep can help your body and skin rejuvenate.
For topical relief, using a natural aloe vera gel may soothe itching and reduce the inflammation. Always test a small area first to ensure no allergic reaction.
You can try Ayurvedic oil massages with cooling oils such as neem or coconut oil blended with a drop or two of tea tree oil. This could soothe the inflamed areas. Avoid any heat-inducing activities like hot showers or sun exposure, which may worsen the condition.
Given your thyroid medication, keep in regular touch with your healthcare provider regarding any new treatments. While Ayurveda offers many excellent remedies, interactions with current treatments and medications must be considered carefully. If symptoms persist or worsen, be sure to seek further advice from a healthcare professional. Stay attentive to both your dosha balance and any potential side effects from your thyroid medicine.
