Asthma can be quite a tricky condition, especially when it's tied to your occupation or environment. In Ayurveda, we view asthma as a result of prana vaha srotas imbalance, mainly concerning Vata and Kapha doshas. Your body's reaction to working with ceramic tiling might have played a role in this. Conventional medication can help manage symptoms but addressing root causes may involves an Ayurvedic approach too—if, of course, it’s suitable in your case. First, identifying and minimizing exposure to allergens or irritants is crucial. It seems you've already stopped the work that was affecting you. Next, focus on enhancing Agni (digestive fire) which is fundamental. You might find relief with Ayurvedic remedies like Vasa (Malabar nut) and Vasaka, known for easing respiratory issues. You could consume decoctions made from these herbs, typically half a teaspoon twice daily, but consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting them. Also, consider incorporating pranayama (breathing exercises) into your routine. Practices like Anulom Vilom and Nadi Shodhana can aid in improving lung capacity and balancing doshas, aim for 15 minutes each morning, gradually increasing duration as comfort allows. Be gentle and avoid overstraining the breath. Dietary changes are important too, favor warm, cooked food and avoid cold, heavy, or oily meals that aggravate Kapha. Ginger tea might be helpful, taken once daily, reducing mucus and enhancing digestion. Don't forget hydration; warm water sooths respiratory pathways. Given there's a new symptom of body pain, it might indicate an imbalance that traction practitioner should evaluate to tailor a holistic treatment. If there's no improvement or symptoms worsen, always seek medical help promptly. Though Ayurveda can support, it's essential to ensure safety and effective management with professional guidance.
