Dr. Harshita Hyati
I have gained comprehensive clinical experience through my internship and professional duties, which has laid a strong foundation for my medical practice. During my internship, I worked extensively across multiple departments, including casualty, general medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics & gynecology at the Government District Hospital, Gadag. This exposure allowed me to handle a variety of acute and chronic cases, sharpen my clinical assessment skills, and actively participate in patient management under the guidance of senior medical professionals. Following this, I served as a duty doctor at AYUSH Hospital, Gadag Betgeri, where I applied my Ayurvedic knowledge in a clinical setting and contributed to patient care in both outpatient and inpatient departments. I successfully completed 366 days of rigorous internship training at DGM Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Gadag, where I was involved in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning under supervision. My time there allowed me to integrate classical Ayurvedic principles with practical patient care while developing a keen understanding of hospital operations and multidisciplinary collaboration. These experiences have enhanced my ability to handle diverse medical conditions confidently while maintaining a patient-centered approach. I am dedicated to continuing my journey as an Ayurvedic practitioner with the same passion and commitment, focusing on delivering quality, evidence-based, and holistic healthcare.

Ayurveda can give results, especially through Nasya therapy and internal herbs, such conditions can also be managed without surgery, especially in early or moderate stages. You should go for proper Ayurvedic ENT specialist,Nasya Therapy (Nasal Medication) is Very effective in reducing polyps, inflammation, and clearing sinuses. If the polyp continues to grow, blocks breathing, or causes vision/hearing issues despite Ayurvedic treatment. Otherwise, many people have successfully avoided surgery with consistent Ayurvedic care for 3–6 months.

Treating mild mucosal thickening and polyps in maxillary sinus through Ayurveda is possible in many cases, especially if you’re keen on avoiding surgical interventions. In Ayurveda, we focus on restoring balance and enhancing your body's natural ability to heal. Considering your conditions, let's delve into some Ayurvedic approaches that might offer relief. Nasya therapy, which involves administering medicated oils or herbal preparations through the nasal passage, can be quite beneficial. It helps clear sinuses, reduce inflammation, and maintain mucosal health. A suitable formulation is Anu Taila or a similar herbal oil. Each morning, after you rise and clean your face, lie down with the head tilted back slightly and instill 3 to 5 drops of the oil in each nostril. Allow yourself to relax for a few minutes to let the oil penetrate. Herbal remedies are also essential. Turmeric, recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties, can be quite helpful. You can take 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, mix it with warm milk or water, and consume it once daily. Additionally, taking a small dose of Trikatu (a mix of ginger, long pepper, and black pepper) may help in balancing Kapha dosha, known for causing congestion and nasal blockages. Addressing your diet and lifestyle is crucial. Consider reducing dairy products, refined sugars, and cold foods as they can aggravate Kapha. Include warm, easily digestible meals and drink lukewarm water throughout the day. Avoid exposure to cold temperatures or environments that may trigger nasal congestion. Lastly, practicing regular steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil can keep airways clear. If symptoms persist beyond 2-3 weeks or worsen, please consult an ENT specialist or an Ayurvedic doctor closely. It's essential to ensure these treatments align with your complete health profile, providing the best pathway to healing.
