According to Ayurveda kidney stones are due to imbalance in vata and kapha leading to poor digestion, improper metabolism and accumulation of toxins/minerals in the urinary system
If you if you tell exactly the sizes of the kidney stones, then it will be easy for us to prepare treatment plan and diet chart
Usually less than 6 mm stones are treated easily without any surgery,
But usually more than 6 mm as they as it will be difficult to come from the ureters sometimes it becomes difficult, so share your proper ultrasound scan report, so I can guide you properly

To address kidney stones, understanding your dosha type and dietary habits is crucial. In Ayurveda, kidney stones are related to imbalances in Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas, with particular emphasis on Pitta. To dissolve stones and prevent new formation, let's explore dietary and lifestyle adjustments that align with Ayurvedic principles.
Begin by increasing your water intake, essential for diluting urine and preventing stone formation. Aim for at least 2-3 liters daily, sipping throughout the day to stay hydrated and support kidney function. Including coconut water can also be beneficial as it helps cool the system and is mildly diuretic.
Focus on your diet by reducing foods high in oxalate content, such as spinach, beets, and nuts, as these can contribute to stone formation. Instead, you should include a balanced diet with freshly prepared meals that are easier to digest and aligned with your digestive fire, or agni. Emphasize grains like barley and oats, and incorporate plenty of vegetables and fruits like watermelon, which is a diuretic and helps flush out stones.
Herbs such as Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) have lithotriptic properties that can potentially help in dissolving the stones. Consider preparing a decoction with these herbs, consuming once or twice daily, though it’s witg guidance from an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure the right dosage.
Incorporating yoga and light exercise can assist in maintaining balance within the body. Techniques like pranayama can support this by reducing stress and promoting overall well-being. Avoid excessive stress, late-night sleeping, and suppressing natural urges, as these can imbalance the doshas further.
Lastly, if symptoms worsen or include severe pain, nausea, vomiting, or blood in urine, please seek immediate medical intervention. The imperative is to prioritize your health with both Ayurvedic wisdom and contemporary medical insight for a comprehensive approach to treatment.
