I am kinda in a bind and hoping you all can help me out. Lately, I've been feeling super sluggish and just out of sorts. A friend recommended amla juice for a little energy boost and overall health benefits, but I have no clue when to take amla juice for the best results! Is it like with meals, or should I drink it on an empty stomach or something? I read somewhere that it can help with digestion too, and I've been having some issues in that department. Ugh, just the other day, I tried taking it in the morning right after waking up, but it didn't sit well with me. I've also seen people mentioning mixing it with honey or some other stuff, but I’m not sure what works best. Does that change when to take amla juice? What about those really bitter ones, like do they still work the same way? I can't deal with the taste, honestly. It's a bit overwhelming! I guess I'm just kinda lost, trying to figure out a good routine for this. If anyone has tips or personal experiences, that would be great!!

The ideal time to take amla juice is on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. This allows your body to absorb the nutrients efficiently, fostering digestion and boosting your energy levels for the day. However, since you mentioned it didn’t sit well with you, consider starting with a smaller quantity, like 10-15 ml diluted in a glass of lukewarm water. Gradually, you can increase to 20-25 ml once your body adapts to it. If the taste is overwhelming, adding a teaspoon of honey could not only make it palatable but also enhance its effectiveness, as honey is known to aid digestion too.

For the taste concern, you might try mixing amla juice with other juices like aloe vera or adding a pinch of ginger, both of which complement amla’s properties. Ginger, however, should be used cautiously if you’re prone to excess Pitta, due to it’s heating nature.
