Hello, Yes, you can take Cheriyadi Kashayam with a little drop of honey. Honey is generally safe in small amounts and can improve taste without reducing efficacy.

Important points for RA and joint pain: * Take Cheriyadi Kashayam 15–20 ml with equal warm water, twice daily after meals. * Avoid excessive honey (1–2 drops only) as sugar may worsen inflammation if taken in large amounts. * Continue dietary support (warm, cooked food, anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric, ginger in food). * Gentle physiotherapy and daily stretching help maintain joint mobility.

✨ Cheriyadi Kashayam works best with consistent use and lifestyle support in RA.

With kind regards, Dr. Sumi MS (Ayu)

YOU CAN TAKE CHERIYADI KASHAYAM WITH A LITTLE DROP OF HONEY BUT ONLY AFTER THE DECOCTION HAS COOLED DOWN BECAUSE ADDING HONEY TO HOT LIQUID CAN WORSEN INFLAMMATION AND AFFECT DIGESTION

SINCE YOUR JOINT PAIN IS SEVERE AND LONG STANDING IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THIS REMEDY ALONG WITH WARM OIL MASSAGE GENTLE STRETCHING AND A DIET THAT SUPPORTS DIGESTION AND REDUCES INFLAMMATION AVOID COLD RAW AND DRY FOODS AND INCLUDE WARM COOKED FOODS WITH HEALTHY FATS

TAKE THE KASHAYAM AT A DIFFERENT TIME THAN YOUR MEDICATION TO AVOID DIGESTIVE UPSET START WITH SMALL DOSE ONCE A DAY AND OBSERVE YOUR BODY BEFORE INCREASING

CONSISTENT USE ALONG WITH DIET AND LIFESTYLE CHANGES CAN REDUCE JOINT PAIN OVER TIME

IF YOU NOTICE INCREASED STIFFNESS OR DIGESTIVE DISCOMFORT STOP AND USE THE DECOCTION WITHOUT HONEY OR WITH A SMALL PINCH OF JAGGERY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE

GENTLE MOVEMENT WARM COMPRESSES AND BALANCED DIET WILL ENHANCE THE EFFECTS AND HELP REDUCE PAIN

Thank you for detailed response.

Hlo,

Thank you for sharing those details. Since you have severe, long-standing joint pain from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and are already on conventional medications, it’s important to be careful with any herbal remedies, including Cheriyadi Kashayam. Here’s a detailed breakdown: - Cheriyadi Kashayam with Honey - Cheriyadi Kashayam is a traditional Ayurvedic decoction often used for musculoskeletal issues like arthritis. - Honey is generally considered safe in small amounts and is sometimes added to improve taste. A small drop is unlikely to cause harm.

Important considerations: - Add honey only after the decoction cools down, because high heat can destroy the beneficial properties of honey. - Avoid excess honey if you have diabetes, as it can raise blood sugar.

Cautions for RA-

- RA is a systemic autoimmune disease, so herbal remedies alone are not enough to control inflammation. - Some herbal preparations can interact with DMARDs or steroids that you might be taking. Always check with your rheumatologist before starting.

- Monitor for side effects like stomach upset, diarrhea, or skin reactions.

Practical Tips - You can take Cheriyadi Kashayam with a drop of honey, after it cools, once or twice a day. - Maintain your prescribed RA medications. - Use this as a supportive therapy rather than a replacement.

Thank you so much

Adding honey is generally avoided in hot decoctions because Ayurveda cautions against heating honey—it can become difficult to digest and is considered toxic when mixed with hot liquids. If taken lukewarm or at normal temp., then honey can be used.
