Namaste, Your condition — Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with persistent symptoms despite medication — indicates an autoimmune imbalance affecting thyroid function, often associated with agni disturbance and vata-kapha imbalance. The focus should be on supporting metabolism, improving digestion, and regulating immune response in a gradual and balanced way. Avoid cold, heavy, and processed foods. Prefer warm, freshly cooked meals. Include ghee in small quantity, and use easily digestible foods like moong dal, vegetables, and whole grains. Avoid excess cabbage, cauliflower, soy, and refrigerated food. Maintain regular meal timings and proper sleep. Gentle exercise and stress management are very important, as stress can influence autoimmune activity. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Kanchanar Guggulu – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Arogyavardhini Vati – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Ashwagandha Churna – 1 teaspoon, once daily with warm milk These are traditionally used to support thyroid function, improve metabolism, and help in regulating immune imbalance when combined with proper diet and lifestyle. Hashimoto’s is generally a long-term condition, but with consistent care, symptoms can be managed effectively and quality of life can improve over time. It may not completely reverse in all cases, but good control is achievable. Continue your thyroid medication as advised and monitor levels regularly. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
