Yes , it is generally safe and often helpful in this combination of conditions, but only under supervision and start low dose.

Kanchanar Guggulu is classically used for reducing swellings, goitre, lipomas, cysts & thyroid nodules. No major known interactions with common antihypertensives.

Recommended Dosage Start with ½ tablet (250–300 mg) once daily after food for 7–10 days. If no side effects (no acidity, no BP drop, no digestive upset) , increase to 1 tablet twice daily after meals. Take maximum 3–6 months, then reassess with thyroid & lipid tests.

Inform your endocrinologist & cardiologist before starting). Monitor TSH, T4, T3 + BP every 4–6 weeks. Watch for increased acidity, loose stools, low BP or lipoma changes then stop immediately if any occur.

Supportive Add-ons Shatavari Kalpa – 5 gm night with warm water Warm sesame oil massage around neck & lipoma nightly 5 min

Kanchanar Guggulu is an Ayurvedic medicine sometimes used for thyroid swelling and lipomas, but it is not proven to treat Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Since you have autoimmune thyroid disease, mildly abnormal thyroid levels, and are taking blood-pressure medicine, you should not start it if u start then keep other medicines together. It may interfere with thyroid function, thyroid medicines, or blood pressure control. For the lipoma, it usually does not shrink significantly with medicines and is often monitored unless it grows or causes symptoms.

Hello I get it. You’re dealing with Hashimoto’s, a neck lipoma, and you’re already taking blood pressure meds. Adding something new, like Ayurvedic medicine, can feel tricky. No worries, let’s think this through.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Basically, your body’s showing a combo of: * Swelling in the thyroid and a lipoma. * Too much Kapha (think heaviness) and some Vata (imbalance). * Hashimoto’s is a long-term immune thing.

In Ayurveda, lipomas are seen as fatty lumps, and thyroid stuff falls under the swelling category.

So, Can You Take Kanchanar Guggulu?

YES , it’s usually a good choice for you! It’s a go-to for: * Thyroid issues * Lipomas and cysts * Swollen glands * Kapha messes

How it helps: * Tries to slow down weird tissue growth * Helps with drainage * Balances that Kapha

Will It Mess with Your Blood Pressure Meds?

Kanchanar Guggulu usually plays nice with blood pressure meds. Since it’s got Guggulu, it might Slightly: * Speed up your metabolism a bit * Lower cholesterol a little * Help your blood flow

So, it’s mostly safe, but keep an eye on your BP.

How to Take It (Just a Suggestion)

* Usually, it’s 1 tablets, twice a day after your meals * Take it with warm water * Give it time, like 8–12 weeks minimum * Lipomas can take 3–6 months to shrink

Important Stuff for Hashimoto’s

Since Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune deal: * Don’t ditch your thyroid or blood pressure meds * This stuff helps, but isn’t a replacement * Get your thyroid checked every 6–8 weeks

DIET PLAN

* Lay off too much dairy, fried stuff, sweets * Avoid cold, heavy, oily foods, plus soy and processed junk * Eat warm, light meals * Add turmeric, ginger, cumin to your food * Walk regularly * Do some gentle neck stretches

When Not to Take It * If you have stomach ulcers * If you have bad heartburn * If you’re underweight

* Lipoma: Might shrink slowly, not overnight * Thyroid: Helps calm things down, but autoimmune stuff takes time

Yeah, you can probably take Kanchanar Guggulu with your blood pressure meds, just get checked regularly. It’s a decent option.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

- Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (autoimmune hypothyroidism): Kanchanar Guggulu is traditionally used in thyroid swellings and nodules, but Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune condition. Its role here is supportive, not curative. - Lipoma (neck region): Kanchanar Guggulu is often mentioned for benign growths like lipomas, though evidence is anecdotal.

General Ayurvedic Supportive Measures (Safe at Home) - Diet: Favor light, warm, easily digestible foods. Reduce excess oily, heavy, and kapha-promoting foods (fried, dairy, sweets). - Herbs often discussed for Hashimoto’s support: - Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) – immune-modulating, bitter, cooling. - Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – supports thyroid and stress balance (but must be used cautiously in hyperthyroid states). - Triphala – gentle detox and digestion support. - Lifestyle: Gentle yoga, pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhramari) to balance stress and immunity.
