❗ Can You Take Ayurvedic + Allopathic Together? 👉 Yes, but only with proper supervision. 👉 ❗ Not blindly. Not multiple medicines together. Hyperthyroidism is a hormone excess condition. Too much stimulation (even from herbs) can worsen it. 🦋 Hyperthyroidism (Overactive Thyroid) Common symptoms: Palpitations Anxiety Weight loss Sweating Tremors Insomnia Irritability If worsening → we must be cautious. ⚠ Important Question What allopathic medicine are you taking? Usually it is: Methimazole or Carbimazole Sometimes with Propranolol These reduce thyroid hormone. 🚨 Why Symptoms May Worsen Dose not adjusted properly Taking stimulating Ayurvedic herbs (like Ashwagandha) Irregular medication timing Autoimmune flare (Graves’ disease) Very important: ❌ Ashwagandha can increase thyroid hormone in some people ❌ Guggulu can stimulate thyroid ❌ Excess iodine foods (seaweed) worsen hyperthyroid 🌿 Safe Ayurvedic Support (If Needed) For hyperthyroidism, Ayurveda focuses on Pitta pacification + calming. Generally safer options: ✔ Praval Pishti ✔ Mukta Pishti ✔ Brahmi ✔ Shatavari But only if coordinated with thyroid reports. 🧪 What You Must Check Now TSH Free T3 Free T4 If symptoms are worsening, test immediately. ❗ Most Important Advice Until thyroid stabilizes: 👉 Continue allopathic medicine regularly 👉 Do NOT stop suddenly 👉 Avoid combining multiple Ayurvedic thyroid medicines Because uncontrolled hyperthyroidism can cause: Heart rhythm problems Severe weight loss Bone loss Thyroid storm (rare but serious)

HELLO, Yes- you should not take Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines together for hyperthyroidism Since you’ve had hyperthyroidism for less than 6 months and your symptoms are worsening, this is important WHY MIXING BOTH CAN BE RISKY -Many Ayurvedic thyroid formulations contain natural iodine, guggulu or herbs that stimulate the thyroid -Allopathic medicines like methimazole/carbimazole. propylthiouracil ) are meant to reduce thyroid hormone production TAKING BOTH CAN -cancel each others effect -make thyroid levels unstable -worsen symptoms (palpitations, anxiety, weight loss, tremors ) Since your symptoms are worsening, I strongly advice -stop self mixing treatment -continue only the medicine prescribing by your endocrinoligist -check TSH, T3,TE levels immediately In Ayurveda, hyperthyroidism resembles “pitta-vata aggravation” GOAL -cook excess pitta -calm vata -support digestion without overstimulation DIET -cooling foods -milk if tolerated -ghee small quantity -coconut water -cucumber -ash gourd -rice. wheat AVOID -spicy food -fried food -excess salt -fermented food -tea/coffee -iodine- rich excess foods INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) PRAVAL PISHTI= 125 mg twice dailyy with honey after meals 2) SHATAVARI CHURNA = 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime 3) BRAHMI VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals 4) GUDUCHI GHAN VATI= 2 tabs twice daily after meals 5) KANCHANAR GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals LIFESTYLE -early sleep before 10:30 pm -gently yoga not intense -pranayam=sheetali, nadi sodhana -avoid overexertion -reduce stress Ayurveda works slowly and constitution based. Hyperthyroidism can cause serious complications like -heart rhythm problems -thyroid ström -bone loss So do not stop allopathic mediicne suddenly Stabilize thyroid first with allopathic medicine. Once levels are controlled, you can consult for supportive therapy- not replacement DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU

Please tell which medicines are you taking currently. Then I can tell if there’s any drug interaction. Generally 1 hour gap is safe when using ayurvedic medicines with allopathic medicines. Regards

Yes you can take both the system of medicine , but keep a gap of 30 to 45 minutes between 2 system of medicine. Get thyroid profile done after 2 months, so you can adjust the dose of required. Do Simhasan pranayam, will help balance thyroid hormones.
