I have been struggling with depression for a while, and while medications help, I want to explore depression Ayurveda as a natural alternative. I have read that Ayurveda treats mental health differently from modern medicine by focusing on the balance of doshas, digestion, and emotional well-being rather than just brain chemistry. Some Ayurvedic treatments for depression include herbal medicines like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, and Jatamansi, along with therapies like Shirodhara and Panchakarma detox. But how effective are these in treating depression long-term? Can depression Ayurveda help with severe cases, or is it mainly for mild stress and anxiety? If anyone has tried Ayurveda for depression, please share your experience. Which herbs or therapies worked best for you, and how long did it take to feel better? Also, did you combine it with any other treatments like yoga or meditation?
