Cerebral palsy is indeed a complex condition, deeply tied to early neurodevelopmental issues. While Ayurveda doesn’t promise a cure in the way modern medicine might offer, it can provide supportive strategies to improve overall quality of life and manage specific symptoms, like constipation and muscle tone.

First, addressing constipation, which is quite a concern for your elder son. In Ayurveda, constipation may arise from an imbalance in Vata dosha, which needs pacification. Introducing a daily routine of giving him warm water regularly and boiled with fennel seeds could help in aiding digestion. Adding a bit of ghee in his meals can act as a natural lubricant for the digestive tract, promoting smoother bowel movements.

I’ve noticed Brahmi Ghrita is highly acclaimed for improving nerve function, and it might be considered here. Administering half teaspoon of Brahmi Ghrita twice daily with warm water might support his nervous system… However cater its introduction carefully to gauge its effects.

Diet should emphasize soft, easily digestible foods - like cooked vegetables, rice, and soups, which are less taxing on the digestive system. Avoid cold and heavy foods which may worsen his condition. Incorporate herbal teas, such as ginger or cumin, which could enhance digestion.

Massage therapy, or Abhyanga, utilizing Maha Narayan oil, might help promote better muscle tone and relaxation. Regular, gentle massage can improve circulation and, coupled with warmth, provide comfort to his body. Aim for daily sessions, ideally in the morning when Vata is more predominant.

Breathing exercises, although challenging given his condition, could be beneficial if done alongside a trained practitioner - these help prana flow smoothly and invigorate vital force in the body.

I do recommend seeking regular support from a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner in your area, to ensure your son receives personalized therapies tailored to his unique constitution and symptoms. Integrating these tips with his current medical care would provide complementary support without replacing necessary treatments.
